KERRY CHOSE ILLIGITIMACY FOR HIS OWN GIRLS (wife suicidal during Kerry divorce)
Crosswalk.com ^ | July 2, 2004 | Kevin McCullough-World Net Daily columnist

John Kerry is a man full of contradiction.

In 1995, already divorced from his first wife Julia Thorne, John Kerry pressed for an annulment.

He didn't bother to tell Ms. Thorne. The church simply informed her by way of a letter that this was the case.

Ms. Thorne had been severely depressed and near suicide when Kerry walked out on her, and in pressing for an annulment he cast his daughters into the bizarre state of illigimacy. (one of them was still a teenager at the time)

Compare that with the Jack Ryan Illinois Senate case where both parents were arguing to keep the records sealed so that their 9 year old son could be spared the embarassment of unsubstantiated allegiations.

Right. We'll do that when the Demonrats leave George W. Bush's personal life alone. And that of his teo daughters.

Some of you people are strategically very naive.

Kerry selfishly made his children illegitimate...

Um...no he didn't.

That was my feeling too, some liberal Illinois judge fired the first shot already against Jack Ryan and we are expected to hold back fire?

So rather than doing the right thing, we should descend to their level?

An annulment doesn't make the children "illegitimate."

It amounts to an acknowledgement by the Church the marriage should never have taken place, but the Church still recognizes the children as legitimate just as children of couples in non Catholic unions are considered "legitimate" even though those other religions (all protestant religions) are not considered valid.

It's frustrating. And i'm sure the mainstream media will 'forget' that this story ever happened.

I'm not naive. Pushing this line of attack will backfire of the GOP...we've seen it before. The people pushing this look sanctimonious and self righteous at best...sleazey and dirty at worst. If that's what you want roll in the muck as much as you want.

These people have short memories.

Do they really think the Kerry campaign will not dredge up their lies once again about drunk driving, abortions, and AWOLs???

Whattabuncha P.C. wimps.

And don't forget how the Demonrats tried to make an issue out of an automoblie accident Laura Bush was involved in when she was 17 years old!!

I say go for it. Drag Kerry and every wife, girlfriend and boyfriend he ever had through the mud.

I'll be as happy as a pig in $hit if politically correct wimps like you are overruled by the Party fighters.

long time til november. i think asking him if his children are illegimate is legimate.
I also want to know about those fitness reports
his view of moore's movie
teresa's taxes
did he commit war crimes
has he ever had a private sector job
We are going to know a lot more soon, he will have to answer some questions and the answers will not always be pretty
Could be a serious blowout on 11/02

I'm all for fighting down and dirty ...?

Apparently, you're not. Whatever it takes to bring down liberals is fine by me. And if it exposes his selfish character as in this case, it should be brought out. Doesn't have to be the RNC, others can do the dirty work.

Michael Kennedy got one after something like 15 years of marriage.

I think that it is much more interesting that his daughter appeared at Cannes Film Festival in a dress that might as well have not been there, and it left nothing to the imagination. Clearly -- no taste!

Can you imagine that at the Inaugural Ball?

OK. So the annulment being a church deal doesn't affect children's legal status. Then the article is wrong. Still my point is valid. Kerry selfishly tried to get the church to grant an annulment without even involving his ex to magicly make it appear that he had never been married when he had grown children. It's a croc.

You need a fact-checker. The divorce was in California, Los Angeles county to be precise.
