I need a new 25 foot flag pole. Anybody know where to buy one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I've checked out a few on line and with shipping costs they are a bit too much. I live in central Illinois.

Build your own, real simple. There are kits with the ball on top and all. Build one for under $30.

Have seen them at Sams Club. Don't recall exact price, seemed to be around $100.

Lowes has 20-foot poles in sections for $128. They come with pully, cleat, rope, and flag. You can use an instant concrete mix like Quickcret instead of its recommended sand, cement, and stone mix to set the sleave. Also you can pick up a fence post level for about five bucks that helps lay in sleave straight by two leveling bubbles at 90 held at 90 degrees.

Also check out the pole selection at Ruffin Flags on the Internet.
