In every precinct there has to be a way to get a wheelchair person to the balloting booth. I've done it many times. I'm a registered Republican so a registered Democrat has to be with me in such cases.

Ok.  I do have a wheelchair which is way to heavy for me to hoist up into my Exployer.  I can not lift it.  I am alone.  I lost my Viet Nam Vet hubby of 34 years last January.  I can not lift the chair.

I can walk of course, but not far.  I can't stand for longer then 5 minutes without acute pain setting in.

I am great when I sit or lie down.  That's why I spend so much time on my computer. hehe

When I go shopping, I hold on to the basket and get in and get out.  I used to hold on to my hubby to get inside the store to grab a basket.  But there are no baskets at the polls and I don't like to hold on to a stranger.

So there you have it. The reason I have been requesting absentee ballots and sending them in.

You can do anything you want.

Just trying to tell you if the race is close, your absentee ballot vote will be counted last.

If you call your party affiliate, they will set you up with a precinct committeeperson to take you to and from the polls. That's what they do. That's why they are elected. In some states, the ballot will be brought to your car as long as there is a democrat and republican near you so no one can make you alter your vote.

Hope I've helped in some small way.
