I was ASKING if you had a legitimate reason to vote absentee.
A legitimate reason to vote absentee is only for one to request to do so.

I kind of thought your remarks were over the top a little at first, but nothing deserving of this kind of reaction. As I remember (and I haven't went back and looked at all of the posts again), you made some constructive criticism of SheLion's seeming apathy and she reacted pretty strongly (she seems to be oversensitive). Things pretty much spiraled down from there. And since you're the "noobie", you're obviously completely at fault, A DU Troll and the whipping boy for this thread tonight.
Yes, all true. I will gladly take my licks, as long as we all come out alive. My credo, among others.
Wow, 10 skeletons and they loaded up right away, I'm impressed!
STill, it seems to be okay to have a chummy charity group dump toys and clothes on Indian reservations a few weeks before an election. That one worked wonders for South Dakota dems last time.
<< I can't resist. Here's a picture of your gal: >>
That loathsome, fearsome and gruesome thing is sticking from the wrong end of the horse.
I'm voting absentee because I'm living and working overseas. We have all expressed concern about our votes being counted after what happened in 2000.
About 98% of Americans where I am will go Bush. The Dems won't want our votes counted; I guarantee it.
A retired state Dem party chairman told me yesterday that the republicans were getting 'real mean'. Her garage is stacked with Kerry posters all set to go up on her lawn. She doesn't know I'm a cons. republican, so we occasionally talk politics and I try to sound like a fence sitter....old term: mugwump. She's elderly and not well, so I pamper her feelings. I told her some man out on Great Road had a sign in his yard: Time for a regime change, dump Bush/Cheney. This is in orange and black and out of date since the subtler message seems to be that we should give Iraq back to Iraqis and we've already done that. So why dump Bush and Cheney when at the last count we've freed fifty million people, and counting. Hmmm?

Morning - and thank you. We had a gentleman running for Sheriff, who, according to the "word" was buying votes. I even spoke with someone who had been approached by this person and confirmed it.
They are afraid to report it to the Feds or to the current Sheriff. So what do you do???????? Even though there is usually truth in rumour, you have to be able to offer proof for it to stand up in court.
It's the Church and Civic groups that are the biggest problem at the polls - they fetch the elderly and lame and incompetent to the polling place and help them. The are allowed to enter the voting booth with them if the person asks for help - there is no money exchanged just a whispered word or two and a button pushed or the lever pulled.
Of course the Civic Group or the Church receives a huge donation from the candidate or one of his people afterward, especially if the candidate is elected.
Even though you know that it was bribery, you can't prove it...
Videotape it, Dixie.
How about the people in Senior housing who get bussed to the polls and free lunch for their vote?
Well, I was really irate in 2000 when "they" wouldn't count the overseas absentee ballots. This should be considered "fraud" imho.
I don't know what can be done to prevent this, but surely, there has to be something!!
I've heard that before: that Hitlery's head is at the wrong end.
For your information, I told Ghost that that was a picture of his "gal," meaning: since I thought he was a DU plant, THAT was a picture of his GAL...........meaning HITLERY.
I sure wouldn't be that cruel to any wife or girlfriend to compare them to such a beast. But Ghost took it that I meant his WIFE! That's a crock.
That's the best tagline I've seen here on FR.
Mine?
I can't decide if I like "to" or "by" better.
I still contend that the biggest fraud threat from the Dems will come from inner city precincts where there is very little if any GOP oversight.
I recall reading in Nov. 2000 of 100-percent voting for Democrat candidates in some Philly districts.
I have a little knowledge of what happens immediately after the polling booths close at 8 p.m., and by my reckoning, it would not be difficult for a motivated partisan Democrat (or Republican for that matter) to change the vote tally results, or jiggle the voting machine to give the Dems extra votes.
