Peter Paul is a step closer to getting Bill and Hillary Clinton into court to face charges of fraud and conspiracy. A California Superior Court judge on Wednesday rejected the Clintons' request to have Peter's lawsuit against them dismissed. Remember that Peter first brought the lawsuit in 2001 after then-President Clinton backed out of a business relationship with him. Bill and Hillary Clinton induced Peter to spend nearly $2 million to produce in August 2000 a Hollywood tribute to honor President Clinton and to help raise funds for Hillary Clinton's 2000 U.S. Senate campaign. The money was part of a $17 million business relationship Peter entered into with Bill Clinton to have the president work for Peter's Internet companies, Stan Lee Media and Mondo English, after the president left the White House. Bill Clinton reneged on that deal.
Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled that the lawsuit's charges of fraud and unjust enrichment against Bill Clinton and two conspiracy charges against Hillary Clinton can proceed. We look forward to presenting Peter's case and proving his claims in court. Peter is awaiting his own trial, which is set for September. Shortly after going public with the allegations of wrongdoing by the Clintons, Peter was accused of participating in a criminal conspiracy regarding Stan Lee Media stock, the proceeds of which were used for expenses related to the Hollywood tribute to the Clintons.

"I'm a star witness against President and Mrs. Clinton," Tonken claimed in a recent report on his case in Vanity Fair magazine, explaining that prosecutors wanted his testimony about" "fundraising activities that I've done on behalf of the Clintons." The exact nature of Tonken's allegations against Sen. Clinton remains secret, the magazine said. But the celebrity moneyman is known to have been involved in the August 2000 fund raiser that is at the heart of Peter Paul's allegations.
