"WASHINGTON (AFP) - Several members of the House of Representatives have requested the United Nations (news - web sites) to send observers to monitor the November 2 US presidential election to avoid a contentious vote like in 2000, when the outcome was decided by Florida.
Recalling the long, drawn out process in the southern state, nine lawmakers, including four blacks and one Hispanic, sent a letter Thursday to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan (news - web sites) asking that the international body "ensure free and fair elections in America," according to a statement issued by Florida representative Eddie Bernice Johnson, who spearheaded the effort..."

Why??? We have Jimmy Carter to observe and legitimize our elections! We don't need no Kofi! Maybe someone can keep illegals, felons, and dead people from voting for the DNC. Any suggestions who?
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! The Democrats are still hung up about Floriduh after 4 years... sheesh and these are the folks who tell us we need to move one. They're so pathetic they're a barrel of laughs. (laughing harder)
and the Left's meltdown continues.......
Funny how the DumbocRATS can't seem to MoveOn ;)

This is an elected member of the House of Representatives requesting muscle from outsiders, de facto intervention in US elections.
George Herbert Walker Bush [The war in Iraq is] a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times...a new world order can emerge.
George Herbert Walker Bush My vision of a 'new world order' foresees a United Nations with a revitalized peacekeeping function.
George Herbert Walker Bush It is the sacred principles enshrined in the UN Charter to which we will henceforth pledge our allegiance.
Marcus Tullius Cicero
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear.
#31. We still must fight and defeat the Enemy Within. Our Freedom depends on it!!!!

God Bless ALL of U.S.!!!!:-)
We are the only ones who can fight and defeat the Enemy Within!
If one Party was against the NWO, we would be hearing about it all the time from them. The fact both are silent on the subject show they are in collusion!
The UN isn't fit to kiss our feet. They have no business sticking their noses in our election.
With all due respect, the details you provided are fascinating, but this ain't poke salad Congressman Johnson is serving up, this is a big grove of bald cypress aimed directly at us.
Amen.
It sure is. It certainly is.
OMG no freakin way....
Is this for real???
Geesh
It's all grandstanding, bd. Easiest way to shut these fools up is to point out that the UN would not be acting as a disinterested and neutral party in our election, since liberals want to give them more money and influence than conservatives do. They clearly have a vested interest in seeing the Democrats win. The UN is, in fact, the creation of American New Deal liberals (Democrats) in league with communists like Alger Hiss, the first Secretary General of that body. In light of this, it should surprise nobody that the UN has been caught with its thieving hand in the oil-for-food cookie jar. No, no. Far too biased and corrupt to be involved in any country's election.
Unfortunately, yes.
