"WASHINGTON (AFP) - Several members of the House of Representatives have requested the United Nations (news - web sites) to send observers to monitor the November 2 US presidential election to avoid a contentious vote like in 2000, when the outcome was decided by Florida.

Recalling the long, drawn out process in the southern state, nine lawmakers, including four blacks and one Hispanic, sent a letter Thursday to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan (news - web sites) asking that the international body "ensure free and fair elections in America," according to a statement issued by Florida representative Eddie Bernice Johnson, who spearheaded the effort..."

One of the best reasons in the world to vote for Bush this fall is that her appointment expires within days of the next president's inauguration!

---FWIT: there IS some dispute about when exactly she was appointed, I believe.

.............."The lawmakers said in the letter that in a report released in June 2001, the US Commission on Civil Rights"..............

We're not talking about the composition of the June 2001 Commission report, we're talking about the letter written by some total A-holes to Koffi the Klown!

"It is the sacred principles enshrined in the UN Charter to which we will henceforth pledge our allegiance."

That's a bogus quote, Bush never said it. You will get a billion hits on Google with that quote, but no valid source document.

It's no accident that most of the non-white population on earth is under the control of communists or dictators.

The sheeple are always looking for a shepherd that will promise them something for nothing...any shepherd...and that is who in overwhelming numbers, always votes Rat.

No, unfortunately she represents a district close to Dallas, TX; used to be on city council.

This is deranged.
How safe would these "observers" (most likely arrogant Euros or corrupt third-worlders) be in the US? Would they have diplomatic immunity to rape, plunder, and possibly murder from coast to coast?
Beyond that, how effective would they be?
If black voters were being massacred (ala Rwanda and Sudan), rather than "disenfranchised" (commmie-speak for "counted fairly"), would the UN "observers" even notice?

It won't work anyway. This isn't Somalia; they can't call in Clinton-commanded gunships to bombard the local opposition.

A UN electronic record of a speech given at the UN, a speech recorded in the Presidential Archives, something from the Bush Library. All presidential speeches are recorded in the Presidential Archives, I get Clinton speeches routinely. If you can find the speech at http://bushlibrary.tamu.edu/research.html I'd consider that a valid source. Likewise something from NARA, Federal Register, THOMAS, Congressional Record, White House Press Briefing.

IIRC there is a "record" that asserts that Bush gave this speech at the UN, but according to other sources Bush was not at the UN that week, he was elsewhere.

Also IIRC, the first use of this quote was in an pseudonymous book on "the new world order", which aserted that Bush spoke before the UN General Assembly and uttered the remark.

Some years ago I looked into the quote in detail and got as far as the NWO book. I could find absolutely no references from any "official" source.

Just did a search of all the G Bush documents online at his library. On Jan 31, 1992, he did say to the security council:

"It was just one year ago that the world saw this new, invigorated United Nations in action as this Council stood fast against aggression and stood for the sacred principles enshrined in the U.N. Charter. And now it's time to step forward again, make the internal reforms, accelerate the revitalization, accept the responsibilities necessary for a vigorous and effective United Nations. I want to assure the members of this Council and the Secretary-General, the United Nations can count on our full support in this task."

There was one other instance of the phrase "sacred principles" on April 17, 1991 but it was not in reference to the UN, but to President Chamorro of Nicaragua.

No other hits on "sacred principles" in the database.

The first thing that came to my mind was "How insulting that some retarded people make us all look stupid."

Perhaps threats against the observers will inspire the lefty-traitor lobby to request a "peace-keeping force" drawn from the UN's most reliable dhimmi-provinces, such as Canada, Ireland, and Finland. Naturally, they can throw in some Indonesian or Nigerian troops for balance.

Considering that the combined armies and police forces of Eurabia could not fight their way from Galveston to Crawford in a hundred years even if civilians were the only opposition, I would almost like to see it tried.

Yes. Completely agree with you. Nothing more than traitors.

They are traitors and should be dealt with and in the past they would have been.

Since the 1950's our enemies have strived to impose socialism aka "Communism Lite" on our country through a democratic process. I fear that one day they might succeed.

Isn't there some way to put pressure on the U.S. House of Reps and the Senators to formally denounce this appeal to the UN by an elected US representative? I would think that this is in total violation of the laws they swear to uphold. It definitely undermines U.S. sovereignty.

Do we have any provision in federal law for foreign elections observers? Isn't this illegal?

The New World Order speech to congress by G H Bush Sept 11, 1990.
Interesting date?
Bush SR with UN security counsel endorsement told Saddam to withdraw from Kuwait. Bush Sr's New World Order statement probarly meant the world community (UN) in joint effort could put down tyrants like Saddam to preserve world peace. It didn't say anything about giving up our national sovereignity to one world government.

Check it out!
