DES MOINES, IA - Today, the Honorable Don Evans announced the Iowa Small Business Leaders for Bush Coalition. The Iowa Small Business Leaders coalition will be an active part of recruiting others to support President Bush and Vice President Cheney. These leaders will spread the message of how President Bush's policies are working to strengthen small businesses and the economy.
"Small businesses fuel 70% of job growth and are helping to keep Iowa's unemployment rate one of the lowest in the country," said Evans. "I am confident that the Iowa Small Business Coalition will recruit others and spread the word of how President Bush's policies are working to grow jobs, strengthen small businesses and improve the economy."
Iowa has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation at 4.3% compared to the national average at 5.6%. The small business coalition is a network of small business leaders throughout Iowa working to communicate the President's record of accomplishment on issues important to the growth and success of Americas small businesses.
