Today in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, President Bush attended the swearing in ceremony of the new representative of the United States to the United Nations, Senator John Danforth. Later in the East Room of the White House, he addressed those attending a reception commemorating the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights bill into law in 1964.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!
I thought this morning I would be missing Saddam's court appearance because my power went out, but it came back on before he appeared
Baghdad Bob has met his match in the realm of the delusional!
Great! My mother-in-law has been out of town for a whole (wonderful) month and it's just been the hubby and me around here. :-D She's getting home tonight, however. Fred and I are taking off for Seattle next week for ten days or so, so we can visit Sean when he's up in Fort Lewis.
Maybe when we get back in mid-July you and I can find each other online and catch up?
Bet you and the Mr had some good times, eh??
Ah yes! It's been fun. One or the other of the kids were up here almost every day though. I think they were feeling sorry for us being here alone. ;-)
Oh, how's Sean doing??
Bet you enjoyed your visits with them, though.
By the way, he went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 last night (he tried to get us to go with him but we insisted we couldn't puff up the movie's numbers) and he called when he got home to say he was just really disgusted with the film. What do you think about the Army wanting to show this film to the members of our military?
There aren't a whole lot of pics, but there are some nice ones.
Good subject material. :o)
IMO, this piece of trash will hurt the RATS and not help them. Moore is insane. Not a valuable ally.
I agree with you.
Thank you, Ohio, for the Dose!! :^D
thanks Mrs. O.
Hello to all ... and goodnight.
From the author of DERELICTION OF DUTY
New Book RECKLESS DISREGARD
From the Inside Flap
Is John Kerry qualified to be president?
No way, says Lieutenant Colonel Robert "Buzz" Patterson (USAF, Ret.), author of the huge New York Times bestseller Dereliction of Duty. And the rest of the Democrats aren't any better.
In his stunning new book, Lt. Col. Patterson-not only a combat veteran, but a former White House military aide who carried the "nuclear football" for President Clinton-makes an overwhelming case that the once great Democratic Party cannot again be entrusted with the nation's defense and foreign policy.
Coming from a military family of conservative Democrats, Lt. Col. Patterson learned the hard way that the Democratic Party of Jimmy Carter, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry behaves with reckless disregard for American security and for the lives of America's soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines.
With coverage that spans the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq to debates in Congress, Lt. Col. Patterson reveals:
* how John Kerry "staged" a combat scene in Vietnam (for which he was decorated)
* why Kerry received an early discharge for his Purple Hearts while Navy SEALs, U.S. Marines, Green Berets, and combat infantrymen did not
* how Kerry's lies before Congress about the Vietnam war (his infamous testimony is reproduced here in its entirety) were used to justify North Vietnamese torture of American POWs
* why Kerry's behavior as a recently returned veteran verged on treason-and is typical of the new Democratic Party
* how the disastrous presidencies of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton encouraged radical Islamic terror against the United States
* why Bush critic Richard Clarke-whom Lt. Col. Patterson served with in the Clinton White House-is a fraud
* how the Democrats continue to gut our military effectiveness
Relentless in its critique-told with all the passion and conviction of a combat pilot-and urgent in its message, Reckless Disregard belongs in the hands of every American patriot.
