Howdy everyone,

Are you ready for a FReepathon?

The state of our FR is strong!

Our big legal bill is now paid off and our budgetary requirements are now reduced. For the first time in our history, our monthly donations are now bringing in more than 50% of our quarterly budget! Thanks to our generous membership and the settlement with the City of Fresno, we now have a comfortable cash buffer and should have no problems meeting our coming tax payments and other obligations.

I've recalculated our estimated budget requirements for the remainder of the year and have posted them here:

https://secure.freerepublic.com/donate/budget

We just completed the first loop of our nationwide tour and we had a great time! We traveled through eleven states in three weeks and FReeped with, met with and dined with FReepers in ten cities and from at least a dozen chapters. It's great to see all our old friends again and to meet new ones. Joining a gathering of FReepers is just like going a family reunion. Very warm and friendly and just like home. Thank you all so much for your gracious hospitality and friendship!

We hope to visit all fifty states and most of our chapters within the next year or so. We hope to visit our LA Chapter on the 1st of August to tour the Reagan Library. We hope to visit our San Diego Chapter sometime this month to welcome home the USS Ronald Reagan. We're also planning a Pacific Northwest Tour in August. In January, we're planning a trip across the South and down into Florida and then up the Eastern Coast to Washington, DC for the Free Republic George W Bush Inaugural Ball II!! Woo hoo!!

Well, with the war in Iraq all but concluded, the trial of the Butcher of Iraq about to start, and the election season heating up, I'm sure that FR is going to be THE place to be to get the very latest in news and conservative discussion in the coming months.

Thank you FReepers for making FR the premier conservative forum on the Internet!

Looking forward to the coming campaign season! Good luck to all and may the very best people be chosen to lead our great nation!

Thank God for our successes thus far in the war for freedom and may He guide us through to complete victory over tyranny and terrorism.

Thank you and may God bless you all.

Jim

You know, it's my second marriage. My first hubsand wanted a girlfriend, not a wife and 3 kids, what a distraction we were for him. Anyway, I was devastated when he told me. I was raised in the type of environment, you get married for life. I'm the 'black sheep' of our family. But. you carry on, and grow and learn. My current husband is the dad my kids never had. He fixes broken cars, gives the 'guy' opinion, and does all the 'dad' stuff they never get from their 'real dad'. He is their dad. At the time of my divorce, I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel, now,I'm engulfed with that light. The kids real dad doesn't know what he's missed, and he doesn't care. But, we're happy and a family. I'm so lucky to have had a second chance with a wonderful man. (he still snores though)

The Net sure does attract its share of antisocial types, doesn't it? (My daughter says it's because everybody's learned to ignore them in r/l, so they come here because there's plenty of chances to find new places to create problems.)

Maybe his snoring is God's way of reminding you how lucky you are to have the hubby there. ;)

I don't think my hubby has those problems, I know his bp is normal, his sis is an RN and always checks us out. I'm thinking of 'breath right' stripes or something like that. He might have algeries that he doesn't know of, but it's only at night..... I don't know, but his mom has the same problem, and she's been married almost 50 years!

I can relate, except for the kids part....God Bless your husband. Children need dads - no doubt in my mind.

I met my husband on the day my furniture was moved out of the house of my first husband. We first became friends, and then one thing led to another. We're now the proud parents of a little lady that turned 6 today.

He still has high BP even after the surgery ... it's just not as high as it use to be

Your hubby could have allergies that is causing him to snore so bad.

Mike (my hubby) went to an ear nose and throat specialist and they sent him to the sleep study to see what was causing his problems ... that's how the knew for sure.

He tried all kind of things to help .. the surgery was the last resort.

Now he thinks he's an expert at everything and tells me I snore .. I told him after all these years of me putting up with him .. not to go there and deal with it *L*

Just remember, I don't make these promises lightly. You don't know me personally, I don't know you personally, but you've seen me around for a long time, I've seen you around for a long time, I know you are real, you know I am real. That's enough for me. Hope that's enough for you. I will defend you. I don't make these promises lightly, but I've seen enough, read enough, to know, I'll defend you. You need help, just ask, I'll do what I can.

Sounds like what you really need is a king-sized room!!!

I've got to agree with - who? - Indy Pendance? - king beds have their drawbacks. It can be an awfully long way from one side to the other!!!!

We have a king sized bed. Sometimes I feel like I'm a mile away from him though! lol!

Try sleeping in a full size bed and you won't think that way .. *l*

That's what we had the first five years we were married and I still don't know how I survived ..

I remember one night, I was sick of his snoring ... so I tape recorded him and then played it back to him

It woke him up *L*

BG, I get so wrapped up in reading threads, by the time I want to post a comment, my point has been made 23 times. What I like about the fundraising threads, it's a short time, you all get together (family), it's not a daily, and that's that. Then, the next fundraiser, you all get back together, like you never left. It's cool
