I strongly suggest that you support your slur that we have "made up crap", or retract it, as soon as possible.
After that you can crawl back into your hole.
Thanks for the ping!
You have to ask that question? The libs, of course.
Of course, another poster claimed it was misleading because "9/11" is in the title of the movie. Anyone who is misled by that fact alone has no one but themselves to blame.
How does the clip mislead you? If it doesn't, how can you claim it is "misleading"?
This is typical of the worst of FR - as long as you are attacking the right people, it doesn't matter whether what you say holds any water or not. In my opinion, that is no better than the crap Moore spews. You can justify it all you want based on "being on the right side," but that is a lame attempt to validate flawed tactics just because they serve the correct cause.
Are you voting for President Bush in November?
That being said, I'll see what my choices are in November. I am far from a rubber stamp vote for the President. If I have a choice on the ballot here that allows me to express my preference for limited government, I'll probably take it. My state is a lock for the President in November, so I have no need for strategic voting - and I strongly dispute the notion that a vote for anyone other than the GOP candidate "helps" Kerry. That may be true in Ohio, but it is not in Georgia.
It is obvious that the reason I've rubbed folks the wrong way on this Moore crap is that I refuse the "Bush good / anyone who questions Bush bad" paradigm. Even though I have openly acknowledged deceptive aspects of what I've read is in this movie, and even called out a couple of them, because I don't agree with this one stupid trifle that many here think is "misleading" - even though no one will contend for a second that it misled THEM - I am a "liberal" in their eyes.
I don't serve a political party. If they serve my interests and my views, I'll back them. But I don't modify my views to match those of the Administration or its representatives. My only interest on this issue is one of truth, accuracy, and fairness. The touchstone for that, in my mind, is: if these facts were reversed, i.e. if the shoe were on the other foot, would I approach it the same way? That's why I raised the Kerry example above. Is his comment taken out of context by not playing the entire clip? Sure it is. Is it funny that way? Of course it is. Does anyone really believe that's what he meant? Only if they are stupid or so blindly partisan that they have lost any critical thinking skills. It was an obvious blunder, poorly considered, which may give some insight into his overall thought process and may not. The same can be said about some comments made by the President.
After all, our President is the same man who, as a candidate, wished for "limits on freedom" because he was being parodied on some web sites. I don't care who he is, I could not disagree with that sentiment any more than I do.
Thanks, I just wanted to get it on the record that you do not support the President in his re-election.
How exactly does "The President is a lock in my state, so I may take the opportunity, if available, to support a candidate who opposes the big government actions of the GOP" translate into "I don't support the President."
Let me rephrase my response so you can understand it on your own simplistic terms: IF my choice was limited to Bush and Kerry, I'd support the President. However, there are other views out there that need to be heard and supported with votes - particularly the need for limitations on the scope of governement intrusion on freedom, and if I can support those voices in a state like mine, where the election is already over, then I will.
I'm sure you'll have difficulty putting that into your "Bush good / everyone else bad" paradigm, but that is what I said, despite your inaccurate spin.
LOL, cut the drama, it does not work on me.
Thanks again.
I'm just glad to have you saying on the record that truth and accuracy doesn't work for you.
That's it? Just one line? What, no long lecture?
Could you be on some liberal forum lecturing them on the merits of President Bush? Correcting any misunderstandings they may have been told about him or his policies, or explaning any reasons why he has earned a 2nd term?
No? I thought not.
I'll leave the liberal forums to you, roses.
As I suspected.
These are the same people who believe that professional wrestling is real.
(((((good one))))))
I agree, Brit Hume did say it the best, and I like how he isn't scared to tell it like it is... When a film maker like Moore tries to use ad hominem like this, all it does is reinforce those who disagree, and alienate those who are on the fence.
