A thousand miles north of Blythe in Eureka. We get 35" from Oct till June and then the Summers are dry except for fog drip...

The gage reads right at 1" (one inch) and the time on my PC says 5:19 and the rain broke open in a big way at 5:01. That's just awesome. Nope, that just doesn't happen around here...

I know where Eureka is. 101 runs thru it. Halfway between you and S.F. in Ukiah is a really good steak house. You can cut the 2" prime rib with a fork. I forget it's name. went there in 1990.
Still raining here, although it has let up some. But more of a "normal" rain now.

Oh brother they should just move these tracks out here to California where the sun is always out. ;-) Girl...hush yo mouth. :)

I just checked it:
1.5"
That is in about a one hour period. It's so dry the water has absorbed into the ground already, no standing water anywhere around this place.

Hope they have a herd of squeegees at the track for the pits. Any word from yer buds?

I forget the name - is it close to the highway?

They are still by Riggs' pit area;
No word yet on the start but they announced to everyone to get out of the way (?) of the dryer trucks. They are bringing them out to start drying the track.

I need to edit that last comment; they aren't in the pits now, they're back at their trucks in the infield.
The rain has stopped here, very very light and thunder WAY off in the distance.
It might take a bit, but I think if this holds they'll go green.

IF the start drying the track NOW...then in two hours??? we'll be racin'???

I hope so. Thats a nice thing about having lights!

Alright here is the latest live RBA weather update.
Very light rain, not enough to get a gnat wet, not even a drizzle. Looking off in the direction of the track, the sun is shining through as this storm line is moving east overhead. The line of the storm is overhead now, and a distinct line between the storm and hazy sky is coming.
I say it looks very very good for racing.

CUBS won in a rain shortened game today...there were four rain delays before they called it in the sixth. The rain just DULUSHED out of the sky with NO warning...later it was pouring out of the seats in waves...
We had terrible downpours here today, north of Chicago, you could barely see across the street.
Let's hope they get this one in, I've done all my chores for the day and have EARNED THIS RACE TONIGHT!!!
