Just had a break on KOA radio saying that a US soldier, captured a month or two ago, has been executed (shot).
That's all they said.
Only a coward would make an oblique comment like that.
May have died in a shootout long ago?
I'd kill myself before getting taken by these monsters.
The Supreme Court, or any court, should not be deciding cases that aren't properly before it.
I don't think he died in a shootout, because the terrorists that took him released a video of him after that showed him alive.
I would agree with you on the not getting captured part. Last round for yourself and all that.
This is just so heartbreaking. My prayers are for this young man's family. May they find some comfort in knowing so many are praying for them.
There is nothing cowardly about stating that obvious FACT.
How do you draw that absurd conclusion?
Don't you think it would be best to wait for actual confirmation first?
Damn the media for all time. Every last one of them.

Military Spokesman: Videotape Shows Body, But ID Unclear
Maupin's Status Remains Unchanged
UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A military official said just moments ago that a videotape shows a body, but it's not clear whether it's the body of local Army Spc. Matt Maupin.
Maj. Willie Harris, director of public affairs for the 88th Regiment Readiness Command, told reporters gathered near the Maupins' home in Union Township at about 5 p.m. Monday that the military has a videotape that shows a body, WLWT Eyewitness News 5 reported.
Harris added that the Maupin family has been briefed on the videotape's contents. They've also been told to expect national media reporting on the story Monday night.
According to military officials who have seen the videotaped execution, the tape is so "grainy" that it's difficult to make a positive identification of the victim because his face is not clearly visible, WLWT reported.
The victim, who is shot multiple times in the head and body, reportedly is wearing what appears to be a U.S. Army uniform. The body is then seen being dumped into a shallow grave.
A voice on the tape, speaking in Arabic, identifies the victim as Pfc. Matt Maupin, WLWT reported.
U.S. military officials said, however, that without recovering a body, they can not make any ruling that Maupin is dead. His official status remains "Captured."
Maupin, 20, of Batavia, was positively identified on an earlier hostage tape, released by his captors about a week after he was captured on April 9, when his fuel convoy was attacked just outside Baghdad. Maupin was clearly seen on that tape, on which he identified himself as Matt Maupin.
Details are still coming into the WLWT newsroom.

Damn.
What's obvious and what's a fact?
Do you feel better now?
What is your problem?
Wait, why wasn't he allowed to file for a writ of habeas corpus in Federal Court? I thought the Supreme Court required that.
Where's the sanctimonious World Court? Out to lunch?
"What is your problem?"
Its the fact that so many are willing to send condolences minus confirmation of his death. Think about it.
now whats your malfunction.
It is an obvious fact that Bush has NOT been fighting wars in an ineffective and/or dubious manner as you claim.
Those who are willing to ignore political realities and considerations are willing to LOSE wars not win them.
Three terror regimes have been taken down in less than three yrs one without firing a shot. THAT is true leadership no matter who bloviates on screaming for mindless and indiscriminate death and destruction.
Now you answer my question as to how I am a coward.
Who said you were a coward? Tell me how I am a moron?
You did.
The attribution to you was optional only applicable if you shared the belief I discussed.
Works both ways pal.
What a pathetic comment.
Send us a post when you are on the ground, over there, and being a hero.
Otherwise, STFU.
I hope like hell we don't turn the prosecution of this matter over to the Iraqi Keystone Brigades. Our boys --and our boys alone -- deserve the right to wreck vengeance for this despicable murder.
