Just had a break on KOA radio saying that a US soldier, captured a month or two ago, has been executed (shot).
That's all they said.
I imagine freedom is about to cost several million muhammadans their lives if they don't rise up and slay their own...
Assuming this is the Muslim Marine, he might have been shot because of his religion. The Koran commands Muslims to 'strike at the neck' the infidels, but does not deem it a fitting punishment for their own. I think this was a PR move. Shooting an American Muslim will play better in Judea, Algeria and Pakistan than beheading him.
Damn.
"Something about putting moores name on the same page as a hero's makes me want to puke."
I agree. That traitor doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath.
Time to send Lumpy over there to see if he can strike a truce with his buddies on our behalf. Maybe some sort of USAF heavy airlift operation....
"Hubby said the radio here in Cincy reported that it was Maulpin about 7:30 A.M. with no confirmation. Later reports said the family had not been notified. SCUMBAG REPORTERS..."
The family has NOW been given the heads up from Casualty Assistance officers, well after the scumbag reporters started broadcasting.
Getting news of your kids death from an a$$hole reporter on the tube/radio (Blather is reporting that it is Maupin as I write)has to be tough. I'd want that reporters blood.
Prayers for the family. My husband works with some men who live near the family. We went to a party last weekend and one of the local churches asked for prayers for Matt on a big sign out front. So sad.
Well I'm SURE the NEW YORK TIMES will be all over this one... It will be an "outrage" headline tomorrow!!
Don't you think?
Roger that.
It's what I might do.
Briefly after wetting myself, of course.
Only morons believe President Bush has NOT "taken the gloves off."
Red
Blather is reporting this huh? Nothing on Fox as of yet. They might be waiting for the family to be notified. The media types are such sick puppies.....(not the actually words I'd like to use).
Oh God I hope it's not Maupin. I've thought of him everyday.
And it was cowardly, because they reversed long-standing law without declaring that they were doing so. A real chicken**** decision.
It sure was awesome to know that when President Bush made his last trip to the area, he took a side trip to visit the family. No photo-op at all. God bless him and more prayers for the Maulpins.
We don't understand the courts ruling either. What a bunch of wusses. Lets just tie our countries hands and let terrorists kill a few "hundred thousand citizens". I guess three thousand wasn't shocking enough. Then if that isn't enough, maybe wiping out a million will shock them into letting our country do it's job protecting its citizens!
BTW,..this is the part that is REALLY bizarre. This Supreme Court has been a huge disappointment in a lot of their decisions. Instead of interpreting law, they are making law.
You can bet that if we'd killed one of theirs in Abu Ghirab, it wouldn't have been called an "execution" - it would have been MURDER.
because they reversed long-standing law
BTW,..this is the part that is REALLY bizarre. This Supreme Court has been a huge disappointment in a lot of their decisions recently. Instead of interpreting law, they are making law. They were far to ambiguous in the Pledge case too. They should have made a more concrete decision, IMHO.
