Same-Sex 'Marriage' Goes to School -

Same-Sex 'Marriage' Goes to School -

Out of the Closet and Into the Classroom

Mark Earley.

If you're looking at the same-sex "marriage" debate and thinking it won't affect you, allow me to bring the truth home to you—before your own children bring it home themselves.

Imagine finding out that your kindergartner's teacher read the story Heather Has Two Mommies or Daddy's New Roommate before nap time. Having two daddies or two mommies is just the same as having one of each, she explains.

Or perhaps you'll learn over the dinner table that a special speaker visited your middle-schooler's health class. The speaker instructed your pre-teen about homosexual sex—in graphic detail. Then the speaker asked for volunteers to role-play. One student was to act the part of "a young lesbian who's really enraptured with another woman" and who's "thinking about having sex."

If this appalls you—and it should—you need to know that this is not fantasy, but a foretaste of what will likely become the norm in public schools across America if you and I fail to protect marriage. You see, the speaker and role play I described happened in Massachusetts at a conference. Public school teachers received in-service points for attending, and students were bused from across the country to take part. After the workshop—which was much more graphic than I've described— teachers could even sign up to have these same speakers visit their classrooms.

The conference was sponsored by a group called GLSEN—the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network. GLSEN has sponsored over two thousand Gay-Straight Alliance Clubs in public high schools and middle schools across America and leads an aggressive campaign to, in the words of the Boston chapter leader, "challenge the anti-gay, hetero-centric culture that still prevails in our schools." GLSEN and groups like it use the legitimate goal of stopping bullying in our schools to advance their real agenda of promoting the homosexual lifestyle.

And in 2003, it rolled out a high-school curriculum to present the same-sex "marriage" debate. Just looking at the curriculum objectives shows the bias and coercive strategies of this group. One objective states: "Students should understand both the historical parallels to marriage prohibitions against same-sex couples as well as the similarities among racism, homophobia, and all other oppressions." Students also have the chance to read about homosexual relations and then consider what it would be like to be in a same-sex wedding.

Unfortunately, GLSEN isn't the only group pumping the homosexual agenda to our school children. Take, for instance, this quote as an example of revisionist history from a textbook called A History of Western Society published by Houghton Mifflin:

"Early Christians, too, considered homosexuality a conventional expression of physical desire and were no more susceptible to anti-homosexual prejudices than pagans were. Some prominent Christians experienced loving same-gender relationships that probably had a sexual element."

My friends, if marriage is redefined, we can expect gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender propaganda promoted to every age school child, reflected across our textbooks with pictures, stories, and revisionist history. So if you're sitting out there thinking that legalizing same-sex "marriage" won't really affect you, think again.

Some prominent Christians living a life clearly condemned in the Bible? Yeah, right. Revisionist indeed.

The "bullying in the schools" issue is a ruse used by GLSEN to gain access to the schools. Bogus statistics were used (and are still being used) by queer activists to get government officals to cough up taxpayer money for so-called "safe schools" programs. Documented here:

Homosexual Agenda Ping - READ THIS ONE! It's got all the links, excerpts, bells and whistles - EdReform is on it! All parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, teachers, people planning to be any of the above, should all read this. Anyone who isn't quite sure if "gay" marriage is ok or not should read this.

The author is not exaggerating; this is not hyperbole. It is the future - and the present. The future is unimaginable unless "gay" marriage is stopped, and the "gay" agenda is ROLLED BACK and put back in the closet.

The problem is that the "gay" radicals (and as I have stated before and you are probably tired of hearing over and over - if the radicals are not representative of most homosexuals, where are the cries of outrage protesting the radicals?) do not want tolerance, respect, or diversity. Nor are they interested in being tidy little monogamous replicas of normal husbands and wives.

Their stated goal is to destroy the moral foundation of society.

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

Most parents aren't that concerned. All they care about is that their children have somewhere to go 7 hours a day. They just hope their kids don't get stabbed, shot, sexually assaulted, clunked over the head for lunch money, or that dumbass zero-tolerance rules enforced by dumbass school officials don't ruin their lives forever if they say, draw a gun on a piece of paper and wind up in the juvenile justice system. That's enough for most parents to deal with. Don't expect them to worry if their kids learn to read and write (nice if they learn, but not necessary -- many kids who are illiterate can find a college that will accept them) or if they're exposed to the homosexual agenda. They just hope that their kids' hormones kick in and that they are normal enough to reject the indoctrination that hopefully goes in one ear and out the other.

The parents that have concerns about the homosexual agenda and academic standards have already removed their children.

If this guy who wrote this garbage would care to name a few?

Ten to one it's the same as that garbage about David being gay for Johnathan, just because there are some references to them loving each other. Some bunch of liberal hippy types can tell you that "love is all you need" and we should love everybody, but let two guys in the Bible have a loving relationship and that's "proof" that they're gay. Funny, I don't remember the Summer of Love crowd getting on planes to go to Vietnam and hump VC soldiers...

In case you all don't remember, Mark Earley, the author, was the Virginia GOP candidate for Governor in 2001. He lost in a close race to the multimillionaire Mark Warner, who outspent Earley by millions of his own money.

A number of people on this board supported Warner, who just achieved the largest tax hike in the history of Virginia [$1.4 billion], because they thought Earley was a "liberal."

Warner vetoed the same sex marriage prohibition the legislature passed this session, but he was overridden.

I tried the link. It didn't work. I tried using words from the title in a search at the site. That didn't work, either.

Sounds like they read that book that came out (pun unintended) a while back, Gay Marriage: Reimagining Church History arguing that gay marriage has a long history in the church. A review appeared in First Things. I think another whole book might have come out to refute the totally distorted "history" Young depended on, but maybe there were just articles.

"Students should understand both the historical parallels to marriage prohibitions against same-sex couples as well as the similarities among racism, homophobia, and all other oppressions."

This stuff isn't coming, it's already here. All you can do is get your kids out, as quickly as possible.

Because the public school system in America is a 'Federally mandated..., tax payer funded..., union controlled... jobs program' with education as a 'by-product'.

But the worst aspect of this jobs program is that it ignores God, who is the true and proper object of education. What children receive in government schools is schooling, not education.

The purpose of life is to know, love and serve God in this life and to be happy forever with him in the next. Education which claims "to prepare children for life" must then center on the final end of human life, who is God.

Anything else is just training. And, in fact, this is what we have. It's no accident that the methodology of behavioral psychology dominates teacher/student training.
