Statement by Gov. Bob Ehrlich (R-MD) Regarding John Kerry’s visit to Maryland
George W. Bush ^ | June 28, 2004

Posted on 06/28/2004 12:44:22 PM PDT by RWR8189

WASHINGTON, DC— Gov. Bob Ehrlich (R-MD) issued the following statement regarding John Kerry’s visit to Maryland:

"This morning we saw even more proof that President Bush's pro-growth policies are working, with the announcement that consumer spending and personal incomes rose last month. More than 1.4 million jobs have been created over the past nine months and the economy is growing at its fastest rate in 20 years, but John Kerry is taking his economic pessimism to Baltimore tonight. The facts show that our economy is strong and getting stronger, but John Kerry can't get away from his doom and gloom rhetoric."

Yes well, the economy and Baltimore have little in common.

Dear Senator Kerry:

That thing you see above does not mean that the sky is falling. It is a rainbow. It indicates that the storm has passed ... sorta like your own political fortunes.

Bob Erhlich is the first Repub governor in Maryland in a long time. Granted being Repub in Maryland isn't exactly as conservative as I'd like but it's a step in the right direction.

Right now, I'd rather have him as governor than our own beloved Marky Mark.

Mark Warner would do well as a used car salesman. He made money by being in the right place, when cellular was blooming, and lotteries were awarded. He won the lottery. He got rich. He bought himself a governorship. He has no clue what it costs his citizens to live in VA...

Uh......no.

Sorry.

You can keep the O's too. As a lifelong Orioles fan, I am disgusted with Peter Angelos and what's he's done to the O's.

Oh, I understood that and agree. I was just wondering why you wanted to punish Maryland by sending them Mr. Ed.

"President Bush has proven over the last three years that he has the vision and the strength of character to chart a bold course for America and to follow it with steady resolve," said Marin. "With Senator Kerry, on the other hand, you never quite know what you're going to get."

The cell phone deal Warner got was more than a lottery or luck...he worked for the Senate then....when they were handing out cell franchises...and suddenly he got one.

Always looked like an inside deal to me......

Well, I completely misinterpreted your comment. I am tired today.

Anyway, I was born in Baltimore, and lived there until my dad was transferred to Richmond. Maryland will always have a special place in my heart.

I don't mean to create a problem for Maryland by offering to trade their governor for ours. They've just had more practice dealing with stupid, liberal, democrat, morons occupying the governor's mansion. Although, we're getting plenty of practice dealing with our gov.
