It claims that I am a neocon.

"The neocons are 'liberals mugged by reality.'" , according to Irving Kristol, one of the movements leaders. (1976)

"When Buchananites toss around 'neoconservative' -- and cite names like Wolfowitz and Cohen -- it sometimes sounds as if what they really mean is 'Jewish conservative.' This is a malicious slur on two levels. First, many of the leading neocons aren't Jewish; Jeane Kirkpatrick, Bill Bennett, Father John Neuhaus and Michael Novak aren't exactly menorah lighters. Second, support for Israel -- a key tenet of neoconservatism -- is hardly confined to Jews; its strongest constituency in America happens to be among evangelical Christians." -Max Boot, Wall Street Journal; December 30, 2002

Word IQ: Detailed history of term "Neocon"
"[If] you read the Middle Eastern press, [neoconservatism] seems to be a euphemism for some kind of nefarious Zionist conspiracy. But I think that, in my view it's very important to approach these crucial issues not from a doctrinal point of view. I think almost every case I know is different. Indonesia is different from the Philippines. Iraq is different from Indonesia. I think there are certain principles that I believe are American principles -- both realism and idealism. I guess I'd like to call myself a democratic realist. I don't know if that makes me a neo-conservative or not." -Paul Wolfowitz

I took the quiz. It says I am a neoconservative like Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan. Wow, two of my favorite presidents. I am proud to be with them.

A house divided can not stand

True. Sadly, the division has been made, and is deep.

Despite the demands, & trends, of the recently arrived neo-cons, I will not abandon conservative principle for the pragmatism of socialism.

Perhaps it is their desire to divide our house. They are doing an excellent job.

I really thought I was a realist, but according to this I'm a Neo. Does that mean I get to join the international new empire cabal and learn the secret handshake?
