YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - On the campaign trail, Teresa Heinz Kerry is soft-voiced, elegant and eloquent, and practices a brand of politics rarely heard from the wife of a presidential candidate.
She speaks her mind and doesn't let anyone else speak for her. Her opinions are both personal and partisan and she delivers them with aplomb, as she demonstrated in the course of a day of barnstorming for her husband, Democratic presidential contender John Kerry of Massachusetts.
Bouncing through a series of meetings and interviews in recession-plagued Midwest towns, Heinz Kerry responded promptly to a question about first lady Laura Bush by proclaiming her "a wonderful woman." She went on to describe former President George H.W. Bush as "a gentleman" who understood diplomacy, while savaging his son, President Bush, and Vice President Dick Cheney for telling lies and playing "dirty politics." "I know these people," said Heinz Kerry, who was once a Republican.
She appeared prepared to take almost any question and equally prepared to offer the kind of answer people don't expect. She isn't your average political spouse.

We're All Listening!
The article lost me at this point. This is the same woman who said, out loud, that she wanted to be a dog.
I wonder if Simon and Garfunkel will produce something along the lines, "I'd rather be a dog than a cat, if I could, if I only could, I surely would... " for her.
(My little addenum - "I'd rather be roadkill than a Democrat...")

I love this woman! She's nuts!
Imagine with all her money - she still has the guts to take more from George Soros in his maniacal campaign against Bush.
Boycott Heinz products!
Her goal is to overthrow the present government of the U.S.
I guess she believes money buys integrity - all she did was marry it.
Far be it from me to defend this stupid winch, but if I'm not mistaken the clip of her saying she'd like to be a dog that everyone loves to quote on here, was made to a group of schoolchildren, after asking "what kind of animal would you like to be?"
there is SO much to trash this moron on, do we really need to distort? that's more of a liberal's style.
Yesterday, while shopping, I reached for a bottle of Heinz
relish, my hand froze in midair as if controlled by an outside force.
I ended up buying the Jewel Tea brand.
Heinz is up a buck-a-share this morning. Buy more Jewel Tea brand products!
Ah, all right - but how about this:
Teresa insists hubby `likes people'
Read it through. She's barking.

She actually said that she'd like to be a dog! "Elegamt amd eloquent" she is NOT. Looks like she could get that mop of hers trimmed at least. Their stylist budget must be earmarked for the "presumptive candidate."
It's unfortunate, but what we call madness, is diminished by money to the point where it's merely called "eccentricity". ;) Presumably "Models for Kerry" (the ones so emaciated that carbohydrates aren't reaching the brain any longer) will all be emulating the "Theresa Mop".

Tay Raise Ahhh will prove to be a huge embarrassment before all is said and done come November.
Another nutbag.
yowza...if that doesn't scare you, what will?
The more closely the American electorate examines Heinz, the more remote Kerry's chances of success in November become.
A spokesman for Kerry/Heinz stated that their financial situation is their private matter. Once Kerry becomes the nominee all financial records can become public, both marital and individual. What's his is hers and vice-versa. There is no limitation to the scope, as ruled by the US courts in the Bill and Hillary case and their dealings in Whitewater, just like Bush and Cheney families had to do in disclosing. Another twist, since Heinz products are bought by the government, regardless of the amount, Heinz also must disclose all financial records, even that of Theresa's because she still owns stock in the company and John shares in the returns. The difference of Kerry/Heinz and Cheney's family is that Cheney sold all of his Halliburton stock prior to the nomination limiting Halliburton's release liability.
A note about Whitewater* The reason Whitewater became public is because the Clintons secured a private land deal with Government secured loans making it a taxpayers issue. Just like anyone who takes a HUD backed loan the records can become public. Regular individuals need not worry but public officials are a different ballgame.
I haven't heard anything about the sons of the late Sen Heinz.
Anyone ?
