Heads Up Alert
Steve Doucey on Fox and Friends just said that 'something big' is coming up in 30 minutes (about 6:00 a.m. CDT).
He didn't say what, but said they would 'broadcast' it (related to the Iraq sovereignty hand over).

The dinky guy on Fox is playing coy, says they'll have a big announcement from Iraq in a half hour, but they can't say anything now.
This kind of crap stinks. If they have news, then spill it out. If they have to keep quiet due to national security, then STFU. But THIS kind of nonsense makes them look like they're whoring out as PR agents for the gov't.
The "free press" does not enjoy the *privilege* (yes, that's what it is -- if you doubt me, try acting like *you* have the same "rights" and see how far you get) so that it can assist in major photo-op operations for the gov't.
I am rapidly losing whatever respect I had for Fox.

The capture of Zarqawi or a ceremony of the handover?
To: Dubya's fan
The ceremony of the handover has already happened.

Why would they have to be secretive about the handover ceremony?

IMHO it's highly unlikely that Zaquari and the hostages are in the same place, or for that matter, that all the hostages are being kept together. Terrorists learned that lesson after the Tehran rescue attempt.

No but if he's captured, he can lead Iraqi authorities to the network of insurgents operating in the Sunni Triangle. He's a big catch if he was indeed taken alive.

Make it a short drop, small trap door to disfigure his face on the way down.

No doubt. I just don't think capturing Zarqawi and a hostage rescue are going to happen simultaneously. I hope I'm wrong.

My last comment is effectively a no-go. We don't even know if that report is authoritative, even if access starts working. We'll have to wait.

Steve didn't specify. But I think it has to do with mass suicide watches being imposed for the libs waking up to this news. (lol)
