Wow. I'm not a 'fashion' kind of guy, but this happening in NEW YORK ..... well, that's really great ! :^D
"Being young and living in New York City, I just assumed I was supposed to be a Democrat," Cochran said.
"But I switched parties and ultimately created the 'I (heart) GWB' line to pay homage to the president for his leadership in the aftermath of September 11th," Cochran added. "I am grateful to the Bush administration, and I hope to use the collection to express my heartfelt thanks to him during this intense election."
Cochran moved to New York from Kansas at the age of 18 to take on the world of fashion design. She attended New York University and went to work for Kate Spade, noted handbag designer.
During the Clinton administration, Cochran told Talon News that she became "disgusted by Clinton's behavior" and began to wonder if "conservative policies would be more effective than liberal ones."
"In the first summer of the Bush administration, I started reading American History, including our important historical documents, and seeing the vision of our founding fathers," Cochran told Talon News.
New York is what I call a "traditionalist" state in that party affiliations are handed down like clothing through the generations.
When Ronald Reagan left the Democratic Party, all that was being handed down were filthy rags. Now all the Democrats have to clothe themselves with is but a few tatters to cover up their abortion, socialism, liberal, and queer marriage "private" parts.
