I'm sorry but IMHO, you open fire on an unarmed aircraft, you lose your "right" to have a gun. Full stop.

The point of my post was that you came dangerously close to sounding just like the domestic argument against citizens owning guns. We just must keep guns out of the hands of criminals (by taking them away from everyone....).
I was not accusing you personally of having that attitude, and I think I understood the point you were trying to make...
