This is what I fear as well. I think a lot of the warnings I have read apply to the turn-over date. I'm especially worried that President Bush will attend the ceremony.

Yes, "terrorists in Iraq" might be a better description. Though, one should believe that Zarqawi is gathering lots of home grown boys into his fight at this point. They very well may be Iraqi by origin.

It's interesting that it's never mentioned that the Turkish and Pakistini hostage are Muslims.
These guys are killing Muslims just like they kill Christians and Jews.
A Pakistani? I'm assuming he's Muslim? If that's the case, this one might not actually turn out to well, as it is a very serious crime for a Muslim to kill another Muslim (it's open-season with no bag limit on non-Muslims however).
In some ways, yes. If our media were sent these videotapes, they'd probably show them too.
But I think, in this new world of televised terror, all news organizations should make a decision not to show these tapes in which terrorists make demands and threats. Without the airing of the tape, no one knows of the demand/threat so there's no incentive to carry out the beheading when the "deadline" expires. By airing the threat, the terrorists almost have to carry it out or they "lose face".

Well, I won't dispute that with you but ulitmately they do it because they get their rocks off on it. Or the reactions to it.
At one point in my first book ("Bargained for Exchange"), I described terrorists as basically psychopaths who, if they hadn't found some psuedo-ideology or larger stage would be doing the same things for different reasons - or sitting around pulling wings off flies.
I look forward to the Iraquis dealing with these cowards and wouldn't mind seeing the Pakis given a bit of a free hand for a moment or two.
Indeed, sadly, given the PC manacles being placed on our military and intelligence (no criticism of them), it's looking like the battle needs to be taken over by those who understand the rules.
