NOAA provides free reportage of the weather information they gather. This information is Taxpayer Funded. On the 30th of June 2004, Public Comments expire on the revision of NOAA's Internet Policy.

Please read this and comment directly to NOAA. Mr.BarryMeyers for ACCUWEATHER CORP is trying to get NOAA to cut us out of the Taxpayer Funded Info-Loop. Aren't you tired of BAD TV WEATHER REPORTING ? Should we suffer even further by having to pay twice for a truly disinformative service? You can also reach the 'HEAD-KNOCKER' directly on this link.

Take the time to add your thoughts and comments directly to NOAA, perhaps it's not too late to FREEP some sense into the equation ! Thank You

Typically I'm in favor of privatization of most everything.
However, Suck-u-Weather is pure evil, and Meyers is Satan, and has engaged in basically fraudulent and false attacks on the NWS.
Explain please? I'm not a fan of accuweather, just looking for details. Thanks!

They ingest raw data from the National Weather Service (which you could access directly) and display it on their own graphics, maps and backgrounds.
For a much better commercial weather site, try intellicast.com. It's all free and it's good stuff.
I use Automated Weather Service(AWS), myself. It uses local automated weather stations for local data, and the NWS for forecasts. It also has a link to Homeland Security.
Here's a link. For your local weather, just type in your zip code in the box to the right of the page.

I also use the NWS web page for more detailed weather information, radar maps and historical information. Is this free service what the Accuweather folks are trying to take away from me?
I use their (free) Weatherbug service.
Weatherbug also contains spyware
I've heard that. But each day when I run my Spyhunter® program, nothing comes up? (from there anyway)
