Explosions Rock Shiite City of Hilla, Iraq The Associated Press BAGHDAD, Iraq Explosions rocked the center of the predominantly Shiite Muslim city of Hilla, witnesses said. There were casualties.
The city, 60 miles south of the capital, falls under the responsibility of Polish troops serving together with American forces in Iraq. The cause of the blasts was not immediately known.
The violence came two days after insurgents launched a coordinated wave of attacks across the country which left about 100 people dead. The attacks are meant to undermine confidence in the interim Iraqi government, which is set to take power Wednesday.

The second one is a running thread with excellent freeper analysis on the three Turks held hostage.
Now, I admit that your source was not the exact same as the original posters of those threads. The information, however, already is there in the two threads.
I understand that you want to report the stories together. My concern is multiple threads on the same topic posted breaking news. If everyone discusses the referenced incidents in fewer threads, perhaps both the discussion and analysis will be better.
