Ralph is the Green party. Ralph is also a Communist.

If they can't vote for Ralph, and they don't want to vote for Kerry, they'll sit out the election. No love loss there.

Well here's hopin' and a prayin'.

More so than Nader? Perhaps the Green prefer a home-grown looney. In any case, it seemed very strange for Kasich to have floated this idea without offering an explanation.

ROTFLMAO...

so their candidate can be seen at the debates
I have to tell you I am actually very much in favor of other candidates being allowed to be debating. I think it is great Perot was included, and if Nader and/or Cobb want to be included, I think that at least one debate should include them. That is truly the American way, IMO. Keeping people out of debates tells certain voters to stay home.

Nader has automatic ballot access in at least seven states because of his endorsement by the Reform Party. Florida and Michigan are two of those states. If Nader only qualifies in, say, half of the states it could actually be a good thing, since he'd focus his campaigning more narrowly in those states and perhaps increase the chance of throwing them to Dubya.

Well, voters make up their minds. If they want to vote for Nader over Cobb, or Cobb over Nader, or Green over Dem or GOP, then, the voter should do that. I just hope more voters will vote in 2004.

This is true. I do have to say I agree with everything you said. Having Perot at the debates was a good thing. You're right, keeping people like Cobb or Nader out of the debate does turn off certain voters, but, those certain voters wouldn't vote for Bush or Kerry in the first place.

PS I think Cobb is coming up soon on CSPAN. It's almost 10PM.

OK, the channel guide is showing the Green Party Convention actually goes on until "10:30PM" so Cobb will probably be speaking later on -- closer to 10:30PM.
