Thanks for your thoughtful and considered posts to nuggler.
Your contributions around here are valuable, cyn. Carry on.
Her piece in the WSJ was sooooooo amazing. I hope it got posted. Interestingly, I haven't seen her on a single news show.
I have seen Debra Burlingame on both Fox and MSNBC (I rarely venture CNN's way so don't know about them). She has not been the presence Ms. Breitweiser has been, though.
That's good. I was outta the country for about 8 weeks and missed a chunk of news. Before I left I sure got sick of the "Jersey Girls".
The "Jersey Girls" have dishonored their loved ones. They deserve no more than contempt for using their blood to further a political agenda.
They were able to "organize" to be on ALL the network's talk show less than 12 hours after Bush's commercial ran for the first time!
It could be one of her Jersey Girl cohorts, perhaps.
bttt
Brave woman. She's defending people who don't even expect to be defended. I'm glad she's speaking out about the widows, and their guidance by Answer. or is it MoveOn? I mix them up. Same-same.
I'll have to look up her WSJ op-ed... sounds great.
Amen !
All of the folks that you mentioned in your posts definitely made mistakes.
They made mistakes because they were human. We can try to keep from making the same mistakes again, but not being perfect is part of the human condition.
The deliberate, well thought out acts of 9-11 were planned by people who hate us,and they are the ones that I blame and no one else.
Monday morning quarterbacking just doesn't do it for me.
I saw her on Larry King Live, she's articulate and intelligent
Kudos to Ms. Burlingame
Why doesn't anyone focus on how swiftly and efficiently the air traffic controllers guided thousands of aircraft to the ground in two hours time? Who knows if there would have been more to come?
You're welcome. :)
The presence of Gorelick on the commission tells you that it's designed to whitewash the Clinton administration, and as a creature of Congress the commission is not there to criticize Congress. Who does that leave? The 911 commission exists for no other reason than to find fault with the Bush Administration, and anyone who reported to the Bush Administration. Why doesn't anyone focus on how swiftly and efficiently the air traffic controllers guided thousands of aircraft to the ground in two hours time?
Because "anyone" is a lousy cheap talking second guesser, is why. And giving credit for alert and competent action doesn't make you look smarter than whoever you are talking about.
Please, pardon my ignorance, but what are you talking about?
Here, we're talking about people trashing the Bush administration and all the negative statements about Bush's decisions on 9-11. What really gets to me besides all the liberal lies to distort history, is the fact that many great things also happened on 9-11...i.e. getting our national airspace cleared of all passenger and civilian aircraft.
That is what I was pointing out, is all.
The 911 commission should indeed have given credit to the system which got the civil aviation fleet on the ground so efficiently.
but the commission didn't exist to do what it should do but to blame Bush and anyone who worked for Bush. THAT is why they didn't give credit where credit ws due.
