Democrat Senator Will Speak at GOP Convention (Zell Miller)

Bush supporter Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga., will speak at the Republican National Convention, an aide said today. "The speech by Miller, a former two-term governor, comes 12 years after he delivered the keynote address for Bill Clinton at the 1992 Democratic National Convention, also held in New York," the Associated Press noted.
When the senator spoke at Georgia Republicans' convention in May, he blasted Senate Democrat colleague John Kerry as an "out-of-touch, ultraliberal from Taxachusetts" who would damage the country if elected president.

Georgia loves Zell Miller. It's a shame he's retiring, but the seat will likely be a Republican takeover.
Our state won't stand for a commie like Majette as a Senator.

I hope Zell survives when he has to go back to his angry pack of wolves after the GOP convention. They'll be out for his blood!

This is big because it gives Senator Miller a national stage on prime time. I am not sure many moderate Democrats know about Senator Miller's convictions.

She would would never switch parties .. but she stopped voting for Dems after Carter.
