Well, to me it seems that Americans are really too busy going about their lives to really care about anything. Heck, I heard on the radio this morning that only 25% of over 200 people polled at a local mall could answer correctly who the governor is here in New Jersey. As long as people have jobs that pay for their fancy SUVs, big 4,000 sq.ft. homes, 401Ks and summer trips, I don't think anyone really cares what the hell is going on in the world as long as it doesn't directly affect them. It's sad but very true. I think the word that best describes this is "complacency". Any opinions they do have on any matters are based on 15 second sound bites. It's a sad state of affairs and I sometimes wonder how much longer we can go on like this, and how much worse it's going to get in the future. I guess it's always darkest right before the sun starts to rise.

Are you kidding? You're speaking to a generation of blue haired, metal faced, tatooed, self-absorbed, crotch-obsessed, materialistic, disrespectful, arrogant, immature dolts. And that's just the fair sex. The only thing that gets this generation of Americans angry is when the beer runs out.

How can people be angry when they don’t even know? Are you angry that you don’t know? You should be. The mainstream media are far more concerned with defeating George Bush and peddling Bill Clinton’s latest pack of lies where he denies any and all responsibility for the build-up of terrorism, than they are in reporting anything remotely related to the advancement and dangers of radical Islam.

Oh posh. All this talk of a biased media... c'mon. If all this was going on, Dan and Tom and Peter would tell us. They're journalists, it's their job to tell us. You can't trust anything you get off some web news site. Who's verified it? All this talk about Islam taking over, the U.N. being "corrupt".... it's all about rightwing prejudice and (fill in your favorite)-phobia and/or -ism.

I can't be the only one who's heard comments like this.
