Imus on rampage against Michael Reagan - microphone envy?

I heard Imus rant again against Michael Reagan in a strange example of possible microphone envy. Both Imus and Frank Rich did their best at Michael Moore-style "comedy" to insult Michael Reagan this morning.

Imus intimated last week that MR basically had no right or reason to be present at the side of the casket with Nancy, RonJr and Patti. The "I-man" made insulting remarks about Michael being the "adopted" kid, and that the rest of the family should "get rid of the adopted kid".

Is Imus transferring hatred of Ronald Reagan onto his son Michael? Is Imus supporting Kerry only because he doesn't like George W Bush? Is Imus too scared to directly criticize Reagan and Bush-43, so instead he transfers his disdain to people like Michael Reagan, Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld?

Is Imus suffering ranch-envy in comparison to Don Rumsfeld? Both of them have ranches in New Mexico, but was Rumsfeld's ranch paid for through a non-profit donation effort?

Back to Michael Reagan - would Don Imus insult one of the kids staying at his ranch if the I-man found out that the child were adopted - like Michael Reagan was?

Is Imus so grumpy because his show starts in New York at 6 AM? Is he grumpier than normal because he has to get up two hours earlier to do the show from the New Mexico ranch?

I listen to Imus for one reason: he gets a lot of worthwhile interviews on his show. Period.

Imus goes after the adopted Reagan for taking a shot at Bush, and that's supposed to be somehow because Imus doesn't like Bush? I think someone's wires are shorting, wrapped too tight or something...

Michael Reagan, the adopted son, isn't the one taking a shot at Bush -- the shot-taker would be Ron Jr., the biological son. I think you need to check your wires, as Michael Reagan is a staunch supporter of the president, and that's what Imus and Rich don't like about him.

You know which newspaper it is - run by a guy named Saltburger - the nickname of the paper is the Shady Gray Lady - you know which one I'm talking about - wink wink nudge nudge.

Interesting that he has admitted that he voted for Bush in 2000 yet he gets on this Anit-Bush rant. I really would like to know who Imus will vote for in 2004.

Imus and Frank Rich are really pathetic. Mile Reagan had just as much right to be there as Ron and Patty and Mike is the only one who talked about Maureen at the funeral.
You talk about the forgotten child, that was Maureen.

I saw the unbelievable effete and smug Ron Reagan last night on Larry King and I thought he was despicable.
I could this coming when Chris Matthews and Howard Fineman gushed all over him at the Sunset Reagan Funeral. The media want to build this guy up only because he is Ron Reagan and a Left Wing Liberal. Don't be surprised if he speaks at the Democratic Convention.

Can you imagine that Imus would say anything like that to Michael Reagan's FACE? I can't. If RWR wasn't such a kind and classy gentleman, Michael would be his ONLY surviving child. (I'm talking disownment, not child-icide)
