From your post:

"I won't post to a thread where people openly advocate terrorism, others silently approve, and the rest simply say nothing."

Look, I guess things must read differently, to me, anyway. I don't see any advocation of terrorism. I see dedicated, sincere people trying to help out, locate things, connect patterns, ferret out information. SOME of the information uncovered can have the tendency to ruffle feathers. In fact, some of it can make even the meekest of us, very angry. It passes, the anger, and things resume.

If the REAL terrorist succeed in their plans, they've promised to hit us so hard, we'll be too busy burying our dead to worry about anything else. Maybe you'll find some comfort in that we might not be able to fight back or harm any of the evil doers, other than with what is left of our military.

I read their words. I listen to their statements of intent. I know where they say their heart is. I know where my heart is. There is NOTHING I won't do to protect myself and my family against those who want to come into MY Country and do me harm. If, in your opinion, that makes me as bad as them, then so be it. And, yes, I firmly believe, based on the Jihad statements I've read, the pictures I've seen, what I've seen of their governments and belief systems, there is very much, an US and THEM.

I posted this yesterday, Velveeta, to the Prayer Thread for the Korean, started by AmericanInTokyo.
Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You have heard our prayers on behalf of Kim, yet the terrorists did not relent. Comfort his family and friends, and his nation, for horror has come into their midst. May it be as we have heard ... that this young man was a Christian ... that we may rejoice through our tears that he is in the presence of his Lord.

Thank You that no matter the circumstance, Your good and perfect will prevails, and that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord. We do not minimize Kim's suffering or his sacrifice, for he is shown to the world as an innocent one slaughtered. Direct the response of the nations, for this evil must be totally destroyed. Open the eyes of those who have refused to look upon this in any meaningful way ... be our Shield and Defender as we go forth, for the enemy must be slain, else the people perish. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

I read once the testimony of one man who prayed with another, and in their minutes of prayer, one prayed just one word, once, in all that time ..."God." The other said that he never was in the presence of such powerful communication with God, so deep was that fellowship and the utterance of the Name of the object of prayer ..."God." Sometimes silent supplication, brought to the Throne of Grace by the Power of the Holy Spirit, conveys a heavenly language that we cannot speak. Perhaps this is one of those times ... so great is the need that we cannot speak, yet God can write the words.

U.S. WARNS THAT IT COULD ABANDON SAUDI OIL

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has sent a tough message to Saudi Arabia that did not rule out the abandoning of the kingdom's oil sector.

U.S. officials said the Bush administration has warned that Americans would not stay in Saudi Arabia unless the kingdom takes significant steps to protect them. The officials said the warning came in wake of the Al Qaida execution of Lockheed Martin engineer Paul Johnson on June
18.

Fewer than 30,000 Americans were estimated to live in Saudi Arabia, with many of them working in the defense and oil sectors. More than 5,000 Americans were said to have left the kingdom over the last year and many more were said to planning to leave for the summer.

"It could have an effect [on the Saudi oil industry]," State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said. "Saudi authorities, as commendable as their overall effort is, have not yet been able to stop the terrorists to the point that everybody doesn't have to worry anymore."
