I am going to Venezuela, after the 4th of July. I was just there in December/January. Everyone there is nervous. At least the anti-Chavistas, which is everyone I know. Caracas is not safe, but I am hoping to make a trip to the jungle bordering Brazil. Perhaps it is unrealistic. I will have to assess "the vibes" when I am there.
I will report from there and let everyone know what I find out.

My niece and hubby are home itinerating for missionary funds for a year--to go back to a town quite a ways from Caracas. She was raised in Venezuela when her dad worked for an oil company there decades ago.
