I see your point about Ms. Ryan's onscreen personas. I don't think her skin is thick enough to put up with her son being embarassed. She also fought to keep the records sealed.
I do have a problem with her shacking up with that man, but if her marriage was the way she portrayed it, she instinctively sought a male that would "protect her". Of course it's wrong, but so is psychological abuse. Just because she's a well known actress doesn't make her any less human, and the child any less vulnerable.
Alex was having an affair with his secretary at Goldman Sachs. Now he is with a new girlfriend.
There are whispers that Alex funded a soft core film for Teri and that the film is out there somewhere.

This makes me wonder about Jeri Ryan. What kind of mom would want this drug through the press so as to embarrass and hurt her own child? This could be handled quietly.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. It also wouldn't surprise me that Alex funded a softcore porn video and forced his wife to perform in it. This guy sounds like a sociopath. I'm not saying that his ex wife is a saint, but trying to force your wife to perform sex acts in front of strangers is just awful. Most normal men are very jealous of their wives. Hot or not.

I was thinking this same thing. Sure, it's a little creepy, but hey, it's with his wife, so whatever gets you through the night as far as I'm concerned.
Not only that, these are only allegations! Not proven facts! What kind of society do we live in when you only have to be accused of something to have it destroy you? Kinda sickening.
The Illinois GOP has done this to themselves though. They have been in full self-distruct mode for quite a while. While I liked, (and still like) Ryan, Fitzgerled should be running again, and the only reason he's not is because they screwed him over for not voting for enough pork.
How are we supposed to properly analyze this case without relevant photos and/or videotapes?

I am pretty shocked that Cheney did a fundraiser for Ryan last week. Everyone knew about this story in at least January. I feel awful because we need the seat, but we don't need scuzzy characters in office.
