From now on, the multi-national coalition troop deployments should go up by thousands upon thousands of fighting men in response to these barbarians' atrocities.
"You are placing demands on us?! If you don't release him within 24 hours, safe and unharmed, we will instead transition from our humanitarian mission to sending 10,000 of our best troops so that you and your kind may be wiped out as fast as boots can hit the ground.!!"

It sounds to me like they're just lying low to keep a lid on the revenge-speak. They have no conscience and not other agenda. The fire is getting too hot in THEIR kitchen for a change.

I remember them growing up overseas. We always wondered if the Turks or ROK troops were tougher. After observing Korean guys kick the sh** out of each other just for fun on a day off, we gave it to the ROKs.

Somewhere an isalmic subhuman terrorist is going ... OOPS
They've pissed off yet another country with a good military and the will to use it.

I just love these anecdotes about the Turks/ROK. Send an email to the SKorean military link yesterday asking them to send in the ROK.

After the news of Kim Seon-il(age:33)'s murder by Iraqi Resistance Group spread over the country, the website of Ministry of Defense was flooded with messages urging retaliation. In the words of "Cowboy" McClane, 'welcome to the party, pal.'

Some harshly rebuked the government for their lack of sound negotiating strategy, killing Kim Seon-il, while Japan was able to secure the release of their hostages.I read here on FR that the REAL story on those Japanese "hostages" was that they weren't hostages at all, but terrorist sympathizers.
Hardly any media coverage of that angle of the story here, though. Did it turn out to be true?

That's a fact.

You neglected to mention the senior NCO who follows the formation carrying a baton similar to a policeman's nightstick. The NCO's job is to provide motivation to any soldier who falls out of formation that said soldier should quickly rejoin the formation and complete the run.
The ROK Army are physical fitness fanatics, but they are nothing compared to the ROK Marine Division. Let's just say those guys are in a class by themselves for physical fitness and discipline.

Partially true, but too, the SKoreans might not be as swayed and intimidated at being accused of being un-PC as the Americans.
What might be a typical SK reaction had their troops been the guards at Abu Ghraib. Would SK have allowed the 'horror of panties on a prisoner's head' to go all the way to the top of their government? [Doubtful.]
The terrorists are playing a deadly PR game against America. They may have made a serious misstake at killing the SKorean. Al Jazeera doesn't want to incite SKoreans even more. SKorea might not be as PC as the Americans; the SK may respond in kind.
In another story that didn't get much press: Afghans beheaded a Taliban in retaliation yesterday. Afghans know. You can't be PC with the Islamofanatical terrorists. You have to kill them.

Right and wrong. The ROKs are very good troops, for sure. But the S.K. government is wussy, and weak-kneed, and will not allow ROK troops to engage in combat in Iraq.
