About 60 of those positions were held by reporters and others in the editorial operations of the Tribune Co

Let's hear it for the LA Times.

To celebrate, I think I am going to go out and buy about a dozen papers of the NY post, Washington Times and the Wall Street Journal...

Somehow, I doubt you'll be too concerned about these particular job losses.

This is what happens when you only report the liberal side of the news, you lose half your customers.

They're so convinced the Bush economy is bad that they are willing to create their own unemployment.

It's similar to "what do you call one dead lawyer at the bottom of the ocean?"

A good start!

I would like to see massive layoffs at the Knight-Ridder owned Kansas City Star. Anyone with ideas about how to help that happen feel free to FReepmail me.

I am sure the LA Times would advise and encourage liberal politicians running short of money to simply raise taxes.

Why didn't the LA Times simply raise the price of their newspaper to cover the shortfall?

Or are they greedy hateful nazis just like the conservatives?

/sarcasm

And the rejoicing of more job losses continues. Guess there are idiots who believe that an employee of the LA Times must in fact be a liberal.

If employees of the Wall Street Journal get fired, these same idiots will believe the fired were conservatives and be saddened.

Los Angeles Times Cuts About 160 Jobs

The LA Times will have an editorial tomorrow blaming Bush.

Aw, that is too bad. I guess the Arnold S. & George W. bashing decisions in the editorial board hurt the bottom line.

I wonder if any of the jackals in that room are taking a pay cut. Probably not.
