Faced with lower than expected advertising revenue, the Los Angeles Times said Monday that it had cut about 160 jobs at the newspaper.
About 60 of those positions were held by reporters and others in the editorial operations of the Tribune Co.-owned paper two-thirds of whom took a voluntary buyout. The business operations at The Times, meanwhile, lost about 100 positions.

And the rejoicing of more job losses continues. Guess there are idiots who believe that an employee of the LA Times must in fact be a liberal.Regardless of their political affiliation, these ex- Times employees are now free to find respectable work.
And, no, I'm not kidding.

Why didn't the LA Times simply raise the price of their newspaper to cover the shortfall?
Or are they greedy hateful nazis just like the conservatives?
Or have the whole organization take a 5% across-the-board pay cut so
nobody had to get laid off.
Maybe the head honchos were afraid that might cause them to be confused
for "compassionate conservatives".

Get a bunch of quarters....go to all the paper vending machines and steal the papers and eat them.

This is the end result of waht happened when the Conservative side of the Chandler family lost control of the paper to the liberal side. Then the Liberal Chandlers ran it down and when they did that they sold it to the Tribune Company in Chicago.
Now it is going down.

Who said the LA LA Slimes only prints BAD news, this is the best news in a long time. And by LAT math the number is probably twice that!!
Salong to the Stoneage Press who is now far left of Pravda!! The Ministy of Information is the only business that insults half of it's customers. Say hi to the buggy whip companies!

LA Times To Cut 160 Jobs
To: VRWC_minion
Have they no concern for the little guy ? What! I heard Slick Willy in the Dimbleby interview getting quite testy with Dimbleby (as the object of all unholy
media that didn't slander and libel Ken Starr) for not having any compassion for the "little people" caught up in the
Slickmeister's own perjury and other high crimes and misdemeanors.
I guess great minds think alike :).
(And I'm thinking to myself about the travel office people, and lo and behold, Tony Snow comes on and mentions Billy Dale...)
Great minds do think alike.

I don't think it will matter to them. Liberalism is one of those blind and primitive religions that demands foremost the sacrifice of common sense. I would not be surprised if they are still drinking purple coolaid this time next year.
