Maybe the Spirit of the Universe was watching. Had Clinton been removed from office by the Senate trial, Al Gore would be President today. That's scary.

And, that would have meant Old Al would have run in 2000 and 2004. I actually thought that's why they were dragging out the impeachment -- to make sure that Gore taking over with only a short time left in Clinton's term would still be eligible to run for two full terms. That thought is enough for me to almost thank Specter! LOL.
