"As well, transgenderism is being taught as 'completely normal' within some California schools."

Sure - but it wasn't in Shrek II. In fact, transgenderism was, if anything, uniformly mocked and made fun of. And I mean seriously made fun of. I'm surprised the transgendereds aren't protesting how pitifully they were depicted.

If you want to make a case about the way transgenderism is taught in California schools, go for it. I would even be tempted to agree with you. However, threads like this do absolutely NOTHING but force me to acknowledge the possibility that the CA schools AREN'T that bad, and the complaints there are just as exaggerated as the complaints here, when liberals make such claims and cite examples like THIS thread for support. I wish you wouldn't put me in that position, because I do know better.

Did I say that transgenderism, which is being taught within California schools, was part of Shrek 2? No, I did not. I added that to further empahsize that there are elements within society that are promoting the mental disorder of crossdressing/transgenderism, and that schools are now being made a part of that agenda.

Actually I should have said, Did I say that what is going on in Calif. schools, is it addressed within Shrek 2? and no it isn't. But the same message(transgenderism) is being promoted within both arenas.

I agree with you 100%! I am beginning to think a lot is overblown if they got this out of Shrek II -- went to see it with my daughter and I thought it was funny. I did not see an agenda at play in the movie. Call me naive but I think to get worked up over this movie is ludicrous!

Makes me wonder too if some of what we heard about the public schools from some folks is a bit overblown. I have three kids who had great educations in public schools except for one year in MA (home of Kerry) and I will continue to support a public school education because my three kids are better rounded and able to deal with people that don't think like they do!
