Did you see, read or hear about the horrific and graphic Saddam torture tape made public last week? If not, you are not alone. Why would the media ignore such a despicable documentary? Michael Ledeen, resident scholar at American Enterprise Institute, provides details. Don't miss this!

Bumped and Forwarded to Many.
I am just about ready to barf after seeing it now, particularly the "operation" on the poor man's hand.
No Hippocratic Oath over there under Saddam, for sure. Of course, if they did not do as they were told, those surgeons would have been maimed themselves. What terror.
Abu Graib PALE by comparison.
I just watched it .. it's very graphic .. and unlike anything I have ever seen. I gasped several times, and I had to look away a couple of times because it was so brutal. I was at the brink of tears a couple of times.
BUT .. I DIDN'T DIE .. AND NOW I'M REALLY MAD AS HELL!!
bump for exposure
So what? We took the moral high ground. We failed
"We took the moral high ground"
By doing what ..??
The audio is unplayable however. The video is of sufficient quality to educate people. They show floggings and amputations which are routine in all muslim countries. So our outrage while directed at the former Saddam regime should also be extended to all barbaric countries that do these things.
I'm grateful the quality is poor. Eventually there will be high quality video of these things which will be too just much for me to take I'm afraid.
I hope you understand what you said, because I don't .. sorry.
they are showing a few clips now. clearly, this isn't the "rough" stuff. there are videos of fingers being cut off, decpitations, tongues being cut out - none of that is shown.
they just showed a hand or finger being cut off, but stopped the tape.
all in all, a very weak segment if you ask me. to have any impact, this stuff would have to be shown like the rodney king video was shown - along with the beheadings, day after day, hour after hour.
This thread has been up since the 19th...and nobody really cares about the videos...

and now FNC moves on to the real important news - another Laci Peterson segment.....
I may watch the rerun if I can stay up that late.
No, we did not fail. We did exactly the right thing. The DOD learned of the abuse at Abu Ghraib and immediately put a stop to it, investigated and began court martial proceedings. We passed with flying colors.
The mainstream media and the democrat party on the other hand...
Your air conditioner salesman died? ;-)
It should not have happened it the first place.
