If just one hollywood gas-bag actor could contribute their earnings from one film a year, then Err America could stay on the air. Sean? Tim? Susan? Michael? Don't let the "chill wind" of reality stop this important venture. People have a right to know how horrible Republicans and the USA are. How will they learn without the enlightened ones kicking in to pay the bills?

C'mon people ... anty up for America!!!

they thought the network had raised more than $30 million, based on assurances from its owners, Guam-based entrepreneurs Evan M. Cohen and Rex Sorensen.... In fact, Air America had raised only $6 million, Mr. Cohen concedes.

Seems to me there is a crime in there somewhere...or at least a civil suit waiting to happen.

OK, who's got the DU link to this story? It's always worth a few laughs to see them try to rationalize it as a conspiracy to silence them!

Yeah, and what about Soros and Gore? I thought they were all for this kind of thing.

More than 1,000 guests, including Yoko Ono and Tim Robbins, drank red, white and blue vodka cocktails

Dems drinking that Kool-aid again. No wonder they thought this was going to be successful.

I think when the network implodes, they may consider moving one or two of their hosts to NPR, where they would have the Birkenstock audience all ready to go. "Stay tuned for the O'Frankenfraud Factor, followed by Stale Air with Terry Gross-Me-Out. This in NPR. National Public Radio."
(On second thought, I hope not...taxpayer funded Franken?
Shudder...)

Many of Air America's investors and executives say they thought the network had raised more than $30 million, based on assurances from its owners, Guam-based entrepreneurs Evan M. Cohen and Rex Sorensen.

Gasp! You mean Liberals would...would...Offshore to save money??

I was waiting for it. They're always behind the curve.

Just two posts and I already have a favorite:

"I don't understand why Soros wouldn't fund them. And I also don't understand why it costs so damned much money to run a handful of radio stations."

Obviously Soros doesn't think it's viable. He could instantly solve their funding problems by destroying the currency of some third world country and giving a percentage of the profits to Air Amerika.

Of course it’ll be everyone else’s fault and have nothing to do with content of the shows. Like a guy peddling shit sandwiches who blames poor sales on the lack of aggressive advertising and capital investment.
