Cultural differences?Gee, when they want to force it on others, it is called "Diversity", and it is a good thing. When they have differences, it is called "Cultural differences", and it is an excuse.

Guam-based entrepreneurs Evan M. Cohen and Rex Sorensen So, I guess offshoring of the financing for a liberal talk radio network is ok?

They need to call Rush and ask for a loan. He needs the competition to stay honest. Competition?
To: martinidon
What we have here is the need for the government to subsidize this fledgling alternative media. This is a national service much like national public radio. It wouldn't hurt the rich to aid those in need with their tax dollars.

Several employees say they still haven't been reimbursed for the costs of attending the New York launch. They paid employees to attend the $70,000 celebrity laden launch party. That seems kind of unbelievable. I guess out of state employees flew in for it and were supposed to be reimbursed??
To: Mr. Jazzy
They do not know where they are, where they are going or how they are going to get where ever "there" is.
The last shoe to drop and the surest sign we can have that they are about to close the doors will be when their circumstance somehow becomes the fault of others!
Ha ha ha!

The number one reason for failure of new business is undercapitalization. In this case they were trying to run a $30 million business model with a $6 mil poke. Shareholders get real cranky when that sort of thing happens. So does the SEC.

I think we shold have a Freeper fundraiser for these people. I'm going to send them all of my pennies.

Instead, it's grappling with a financial crisis. Creditors are lined up at the door, and it is off the air in two big markets, Los Angeles and Chicago I thought they got back on in those markets? Is this an on again/off again kinda' thing? I thought the LA/Chicago thing was just a mis-understanding about bounced checks???
To: martinidon
They're liberals... they cultivate a sense of anarchy so that they seem passionate and hip.
And did you catch this quote?
>>'we realized that we had all been duped,'
In other words, they were lying liars?

What a remarkable deal that would make. Rush finances the Lib radio net at, lets say, 20 percent ?

Don't give them any ideas! It is just a matter of time before this actually happens!I can see sKerry now saying someone needs to give the poor an alternative voice!

Indeed, how could the NYT have misled investors?
A commission should immediately be established to investigate the Times' complicity in this fraud.

I had June 30th and it looks as if I may be close.

---Many of Air America's investors and executives say they thought the network had raised more than $30 million, based on assurances from its owners, Guam-based entrepreneurs Evan M. Cohen and Rex Sorensen.
In fact, Air America had raised only $6 million, Mr. Cohen concedes.---
Isn't this a replay of the Dean campaign? They supposedly had raised all this money on the internet and everyone wondered how in the world they could have spent it all half way through the primary.

Liberals are never entertaining or funny - therefore no one listens. They thrive best when they have no competition, like the old Soviet Radio broadcasts and their clammy official pronouncements. Or like the BBC.
