Cathy Buckle estimated about 70,000 whites in her column about a fortnight ago, but I think that the figure is overly optimistic and probably based on old information.

I believe they (white)farmers had their farms liberated from them. That is the reason why these people are so destitute with no food or water. The farmers have been thrown into exile.
