Laura Bush vs. Teresa Hienz Kerry Election 2004 Cookie Cook-off (Bush wins in a landslide)
Family Circle ^

Posted on 06/18/2004 9:34:39 PM PDT by rocklobster11

Laura Bush submits a recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies. What's not to love about that?

Teresa Kerry submits some whacked out thing called Pumpkin Spice Cookies. I wouldn't try feeding those to my dog. That is, if I had a dog.

Supposedly this poll has been an "accurate" predictor of the last three elections, so get out the vote.

Wonder if Terreeeeza ever tosses her cookies? I would if I had to wake up and see his ugly face every morning!

"1 cup canned pumpkin puree (from 15-ounce can; do not use pumpkin pie filling)"

What is pumpkin puree anyway?

pureed pumpkin is also known as canned pumpkin...you know it has been cooked and pureed so it fits in the can.As far as I know the cans don't list it as anything other than pumpkin but hey I don't buy high priced cans

I bought a pumpkin cheese cake one year that was a big hit. Everybody loved it.

I've never seen one of those again, maybe this year I'll try a find a recipe and whip one up myself (yeah right, sure I will).

Rock, Dried Cherries, don't even get me started!

They are a staple with my two little girls. We would buy the 5 pound boxes and at 2 & 1/2 a few years back my oldest would go the frig and grab handfuls for a snack, That 5 pound box wouldn't last long!.

A treat from Michigan's Traverse City region to the world !

I have a similar Pumpkin cookie recipe only it calls for butterscotch morsels instead of raisins. The cookies are wonderful.
