Hello. The World Trade Center did not collapse due to extreme wind loads. They fell because a huge fireball at the heart of each of the buildings caused loss of strength of the supporting columns of steel framework, resulting in buckling and collapse. The wind stress tests had ZILCH to do with the relative strength of the vertical columns.

They were stopped from using Asbestos just above the 64th floor. That's when the asbestos scare hit, so they went with something else for the highest floors.

Typical Associated Press bullsh*t. The Towers did not fall because of high winds, or winds at all. They fell because the burning jet fuel caused the structural steel beams that held up certain floors to fail. The buidlings then pancaked down, floor on floor, just like buildings brought down by Controlled Demolition, Inc. (the folks in Towson, Maryland, who specialize in dropping obsolete buildings straight down on themselves).

And part of the reason those steel beams melted is that the enviro-weanies had stopped the coating of those beams with asbestos at the 70th floor. The asbestos itself never harmed anyone. However, the absence of it above the 70th floor may have doomed almost 3,000 people.
