I'm not concerned about the relatively low numbers of people who see this speech and others.

The campaign won't really start until after the conventions. There will be plenty of coverage then. Dubya will have even more good news to talk about, and Kerry will still be an a-hole.

I've heard Bill Bennett and others allude to Osama bin Laden's Strong horse - weak horse line, where people back the strong horse. Dubya is clearly the strong horse. However, Kerry LOOKS like a horse -- does that count?

Yep! I can do movies too!

That's wonderful! I bet it's fun too. I really enjoy working with computers. I haven't advanced to that level yet, though. :)

Gee, man, you say,

'"He's being introduced by Kerry's first choice for Veep." That's how the conservatives should refer to him from now on.'

You're right!

In fairness, the mcCain-Bush show will dominate part of the weekend dialogue on the MSM. It will finally shut up the nonsense about Kerry-McCain for good.

Oh how I wish I'd seen this.

I'm one of those who thought the president seemed a little lackluster for the last few months. But this is a good week and he's obviously decided he's going to fight for his presidency, our troops and our country!!!!!!

I've been to Iraq, with people that speak Arabic. Nice place. Go north of Baghdad, and you'd think you're in Texas or Nebraska. From Baghdad south it's just too hot.

That's what I said. My point is, only about 5-6 million watch cable news. 50-60 million get their news from the 3 major networks. Excluding radio, coverage only on the cable news channels is minimal, at best.

You might feel better if you think of like this: Today is the 1st day of the rest of the campaign.

Now that the "dopes are roped" through the brilliant strategery of "misunderestimation" it's now become time to start the "real" fight.

Bush was great today, he even took the NY Times on directly.

Last night Cheney did the same thing.

Don't forget no matter what the lamestream media does our guys still have the biggest bully pulpit. IMHO Bush will win this fight.

Cyncooper -

I feel like we are at a tipping point with regard to the press especially.

Their credibility is so severely damaged that if Cheney/Bush/Freepers etc. keep us the pressure and the research, they will lose huge chunks of viewership with the exception of the most radical maligant leftists.

Thanks, Grampa Dave! I am at my son's house watching the three grandkids and SpongeBob had control of the channels.

What a great speech, it seems, and good on McCain! I am very grateful to him for doing this.

Bush's Rush comment censored

When President Bush made a positive reference to Rush Limbaugh the other day in a speech at Tampa's MacDill Air Force Base, listeners to Seattle talk-radio station KVI-AM didn't hear it.

"Today in Iraq, more than 170 newspapers are being published, and I saw the other day that they've even got talk radio. I don't know if they've contacted Rush yet," Bush told the troops.

But KVI, which carried the entire speech, decided to censor the president's mention of the top talk host.
