panties on head, definitely much worse than torturing kids in front of parents. NYT should issue an apology.

The majority of the citizens of Iran want Bush--they know he is their only hope. Now the mad religious leaders...that's quite a different story.

God, I love this guy.

Me, too. I think it's because he really does mean what he says. It's an ugly world, and that requires us to do unpleasant things.

I think those who are uneasy about Bush (the squishy part of Kerry's support the polls) are really uneasy because they're uncomfortable with the prospect of really taking action on something. (I understand this emotional response.)

But people are beginning to see that taking action has positive results, and I think there's at least a short-term recognition that lack of action is what brought us to the current mess.

As I said on another thread: Slow and steady wins the race. W's doing the right thing, and he's letting it come together.

The spread of freedom will be a defeat for their dark vision

Our American soldiers are not only showing courage and bravery, but respect for those countries. We have sent good and honorable people into those countries.

People are wondering if we will succeed, I know that. But by facing the terrorists in distant lands, you are making sure your fellow citizens are not facing them here at home. (applause)

President Karzai came to the WH this week. He thanked the American people, the troops and their familes for freeing his country. This is a thankful people. They have seen firsthand...we did not come to conquer, we came to liberate.
