I think the time for those tactics was 2000, and the Dems blew their chance. They don't control the Justice Department anymore, and Ashcroft and Co are ready for them, so it's going to be much, much more difficult to pull the usual "voting dead" tactics again. I think this is one of the reasons Gore et al so fiercely contested the 2000 election, because they pulled out all the stops and recognized the implications of failure. The fruits of that failure are going to be harvested this November. It's over, this is the beginning of the end for the Dems.

I pray you are right. Music to my ears.

You can count on Kerry asking for a recount in every state that Bush doesn't have at least a 10% plurality.

I share your enthusiasm that Bush will win big.

While it's always good to have a Republican attorney general, I'd like someone to explain how Mr. Ashcroft prevented voter fraud in South Dakota back in 2002.

There is no substitute for a fearless and thoroughly prepared task force of Republican lawyers in every state who are are FROM that state watching the cities like a hawk on Election Day -- and before. One more thing: They -- we -- can't be afraid of being called racists when we make our charges of voter fraud.

Bush has absolutely no chance of "winning big" if we don't make it happen.

How many of us have walked a precinct, sent multiple letters to the editor, or tried to persuade a few Democrats or RINOs to vote for Bush?

You can bet that the Democrats will work hard, no matter how little Kerry excites them. Can the same be said of us?

Having actually read Mr. Perry's article, I must say that I find it to be one of the weakest pieces of political analysis I've ever read. It is sheer unsupported speculation. He offers no evidence for his claim that the middle of the electorate will vote conservative. We have the evidence of election after election in recent years that the "middle" is highly responsive to Democratic appeals and manipulable by the major media.

"Analysis" like this lulls us to sleep. While we may choose to tell ourselves that most Americans are sensible, liberty-loving patriots with a clear understanding of how society holds together, we cannot sit back and do nothing. At a minimum, recent elections prove that many of the people we have so much faith in have not come through for us.

It is high time that we gave some serious thought to why that's the case -- and how we can break through the brainwashing.

Articles like Perry's hurt us more than they help.

55/45? I think the margin will be at least double that. It won't be a 1984-level blowout, but certainly one for the record books.

I voted in hundreds, perhaps thousands if you include school elections, dog catcher, and coroner.

PS. I'll vote for George. I thought about Gridlocking (Republican Congress with a Democratic President), but Kerry opened his mouth. The man makes up for being stupid, by being a bore. It also looks like he went to the Al Gore School of mechanical body movements (Totally out of sync with what he's saying. He comes off like some kind of spastic marionette). Perhaps, someone should give George Soros lessons in string pulling.

I want a landslide so bad that I can taste it.

Same here. A big Bush win would be absolutely crushing to the dems. The left would be demoralized in a way that it has never been demoralized before. It's a delicious thought.
