Will the moat be filled with salt water or fresh water? Fill it with saltwater, that way they can't use it to drink or irrigate.

I don't know if piranha or crocodiles can survive in a saltwater.

So fill it with sharks and stinging jellyfish.

Crocs don't much care, I believe, either way, salt or fresh. Piranha, on the other hand, do require fresh. Barracuda, some sharks species and some poison lion fish, rock fish etc. can be substituted.......

Either skip the jellyfish or ban export of the Israeli sunscreen keeps the jellyfish away
