REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — When it came time to cross-examine the receptionist from Laci Peterson's obstetrician's office, Mark Geragos leaned forward on the defense table and grinned.
The young woman had just testified that no one called the office about the slain mother-to-be Christmas Eve, but she could not be sure about Dec. 26 because she had taken a sick day.
Geragos paused just long enough for every juror to turn toward him and his client, and then deadpanned, "Were you really sick the day after Christmas?"
The courtroom erupted in laughter....

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Police used helicopters, boats, ATVs, horses, dogs, divers and numerous volunteers in their efforts to find Laci Peterson, two officers testified Wednesday at her husband's capital murder trial.
Modesto police sergeants Ronald Cloward and Timothy Helton detailed the extensive, but ultimately fruitless, search to find the mother-to-be, who vanished Christmas Eve 2002.
Asked by prosecutor Rick Distaso if finding the 27-year-old woman was like "finding a needle in a haystack," Cloward replied, "That was exactly what it was like. It was difficult.".......

Geragos says Laci complained to officials about nearby homeless mission

REDWOOD CITY -- Forty-seven of Modesto's registered sex offenders listed a homeless mission near Scott and Laci Peterson's house as their official residence, a Modesto police sergeant testified Wednesday.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos said Laci Peterson had complained to city officials because the homeless people from the mission often used her residential street to get to a nearby park; she wanted the city to close the Covena Avenue park entrance.
Appearing in full dress uniform, his sunglasses hanging from a strap on his shoulder, Modesto police Sgt. Ron Cloward took the witness stand Wednesday for the prosecution. He confirmed that he had received an e-mail about Laci Peterson's concerns over "transients" on her street, but that none of their efforts to locate the sex offenders led to any evidence of her disappearance........

Well said!!Geragos along with his client and his client's family have absolutely NO CLASS!! Bottom feeders is what they are.
Absolutely. I agreew with all that you have said. I might add that there just "may" be some evidence come forth that is not expected. Perhaps and anchor or two that when analyzed will have the EXACT same composition as the bag found in Scotty's warehouse. The one where he had thrown his and Laci's wedding pictures in the trash can.
One can only imagine what a ham Geragos would be if the trial were being televised. Everyday would be the Tonight Show for the man defending an accused murderer.
The answer to that is simple: Scott Peterson hoped that he could dump his wife close enough to the shipping channel that her and the baby's remains would wash right out to the ocean!! What do you think all his waterway "research" was about?
Actually Neenah we need more people like you. Ones that take jury duty SERIOUSLY. How anyone could become "endeared" to a bottom feeding slime bucket, lying sack of chit like Geragos, is beyond me. A beautiful, innocent happy young girl, great with child, looking so forward to becoming a Mom is brutally wiped out by white trash like SP who stood before God and promised to love her, care for her, and protect her,DESERVES some Justice, REAL Justice. Juror #5 must be MENTALLY disabled. Stupid just doesn't quite describe it in my mind.!! Surely, Distaso will be asking for this flakes removal from the Jury.
There is poison in some diseased minds that causes a "mob" attitude. It is seen when a white male isn't an Alan Alda/Phil Donahue girly-man, oozing a yearning for "inclusion" and acceptance. Sad, but very extant. No witnesses, no weapon, no confession, pretty much zero evidence whatsoever - not important, if there's a white male to punish for all the failures to achieve in their own lives...

I haven't caught up yet, but heard a report on local news (KRON)--that there will be no court tomorrow. There was new discovery and there was a meeting with the Judge. The Judge has given the defense an extra day to go over this new discovery.
Hope it's SOMETHING to BLAST THEM OUT OF THE WATER!!!!

YES, he did do that. I can't remember if it was testified to in the Prelim by one of the Detectives or whether it was an article. I have also heard Kimberley Guilfoile-Newsom amd Nancy Grace. I'm almost positive it was testified to but I could be wrong. Nevertheless, it's TRUE.!!
I thought Juror's were cautioned not to talk to anyone involved in the case let alone anyone else.
If this Juror said what the TH have been saying he said, I can't believe the judge didn't at least reprimand him.
He is no longer MJ's attorney, but that won't make those nasty accusations of unethical behavior (or worse, crime) go away.
