A murder trial is no laughing matter.
Is it?
Defense lawyer Mark Geragos has cracked up everyone from the jury to prosecution witnesses during the high-profile murder trial. Experts say it could work for him.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. When it came time to cross-examine the receptionist from Laci Peterson's obstetrician's office, Mark Geragos leaned forward on the defense table and grinned.
The young woman had just testified that no one called the office about the slain mother-to-be Christmas Eve, but she could not be sure about Dec. 26 because she had taken a sick day.
Geragos paused just long enough for every juror to turn toward him and his client, and then deadpanned, "Were you really sick the day after Christmas?"
The courtroom erupted in laughter....

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Police used helicopters, boats, ATVs, horses, dogs, divers and numerous volunteers in their efforts to find Laci Peterson, two officers testified Wednesday at her husband's capital murder trial.
Modesto police sergeants Ronald Cloward and Timothy Helton detailed the extensive, but ultimately fruitless, search to find the mother-to-be, who vanished Christmas Eve 2002.
Asked by prosecutor Rick Distaso if finding the 27-year-old woman was like "finding a needle in a haystack," Cloward replied, "That was exactly what it was like. It was difficult.".......

Geragos says Laci complained to officials about nearby homeless mission
By Jason Dearen, STAFF WRITER
REDWOOD CITY -- Forty-seven of Modesto's registered sex offenders listed a homeless mission near Scott and Laci Peterson's house as their official residence, a Modesto police sergeant testified Wednesday.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos said Laci Peterson had complained to city officials because the homeless people from the mission often used her residential street to get to a nearby park; she wanted the city to close the Covena Avenue park entrance.
Appearing in full dress uniform, his sunglasses hanging from a strap on his shoulder, Modesto police Sgt. Ron Cloward took the witness stand Wednesday for the prosecution. He confirmed that he had received an e-mail about Laci Peterson's concerns over "transients" on her street, but that none of their efforts to locate the sex offenders led to any evidence of her disappearance........

That's what I mean about the media may have convicted him. Unless you are a juror and can see the expressions on someones face as they testify, transcripts can be deceiving.
Oh well, just be glad it's no us.
Great comeback Meg! LMAO...and it's so true!!
Man, your a riot! LMAO!
I love you boys...
I am used to the trial televised, important witnesses taped, transcripts!...I want facts, not opinions and soundbites only...I am familiar with Scott's interviews, old media reports(some inaccuracies and speculation...rumors...I have read some of the prelim transcripts, read about the number of Amber calls.
I KNOW what he had with him in his car when he was arrested, I know the testimony of the cell phone call location(10:08)on the 24th and the dog's arrival on the neighbor's drive(10:18) That leaves a 10 minute window for Laci to finish mopping, change clothes, get the dog on a leash and get abducted...I am secure right now in my opinion of his guilt, just not in the jury's verdict!
...;)
Amen girl!
Meeelllyy! Where have you and Clouda been?? How's things?
Bringing over my opinion from old thread I was lost on...
After catching up and watching tv....worst case scenario, IMO it will be Juror misconduct, dismissal and replaced with an alternate.
Judge may just spank him, unless MG or Distaso wants him out bad enough.
IMO I cannot feature Brent doing anything improper, just momentarily in the wrong place, wrong time.
Jaaackkieee-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Clouda and I are busy with family stuff..our Mom got pretty sick and I flew up to NJ and now she is in a Nursing Home. Clouda going there alot! Waiting to see the video!!!!!!!!

Prayers for your Mom...I'll catch up with ya on FReepmail later. Good to see ya.
Thanks

Take a tour of a prison or a jail) It's all about educating yourself.
as a nurse a few years back I worked for an agency and would go to different facilities..I was sent to the local prison 1 AM to pass meds....What an education!! They would come to the window, I sat in something equal to a closet with a guard outside and a window with bars to pass the meds. They came up to the window with their breakfast tray (which looked like it had 10 compartments on it ) full of food and asked for every medicine conceivable..from tylenol to malox...too bad our elderly can't do this
You Are so right !! Scott convinced me of his guilt with his TV appearances and the the bodies turning up where they did was the 4 sure vote from me I can even misus amber in this and believe he guilty
