Clinton Calls Impeachment Battle 'Badge of Honor'

Like it or not, Clinton's legacy is how history will remember him. He is in Bartlett's Familiar Quotations. Roosevelt has "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." Reagan has "Mr. Gorbachov tear down this wall!" HW Bush has "Read my lips, no new taxes!"

According to Larry Elder, the person that is currently making the decisions as to which quotations get listed has made no bones about the fact that he despised Reagan, and the Reagan quote you cite is nowhere to be found in Bartlett's Familiar Quotations.

Impeach the rapist

Interesting, isn't it, that not one member of Congress has come forward to call for the impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton for moral turpitude in light of the accusations of Juanita Broaddrick?

So, let the chorus begin here: It's way past time to throw this bum out of office. He's a disgrace to his office. He's a detriment to his country. And he's an embarrassment to the human race.

I believe Juanita. And, I would dare say, 95 percent of Americans in their heart of hearts do as well. There's just no reason not to find her credible. In a he-said-she-said contest, Clinton's got to lose. He's played all his cards. He's denied the undeniable one-too-many times.

It's time to recall the arguments against impeachment and conviction the last time around.

"It's about consensual sex," we heard over and over again ad nauseum. Well, folks, this isn't. This is about force, about coercion, about violence, about rape.

"It doesn't rise to the level of a high crime or misdemeanor," we heard repeated on every talking head show night after night, week after week. Well, how about rape? Does that rise to the level of a high crime or misdemeanor, Barney Frank?

It's time to put on trial those clowns who stood by their man despite overwhelming evidence of perjury and obstruction of justice. What are they going to say about Juanita Broaddrick? That the statute of limitations has run out? What's a little rape between friends? I'd love to hear the rationalizations this time.

But, of course, there's no sign we will ever hear any explanations from Clinton's chorus in Congress or from the commander-in-cheat himself. There's only one thing that can force them to defend the indefensible -- a spontaneous uprising by the American people. They've got to say it loud and say it clear: We've had enough. It's time for abuser-in-chief to go.

I don't care about "political realities." I don't care that it may be impossible to get 67 votes in the Senate if this guy murdered a saint on live television. I don't care that another impeachment case would be a distraction.

Let me tell you about realpolitick. The Congress of the United States and the court of public opinion are the only avenues left for justice -- for Juanita Broaddrick and for the rest of America.

America cannot tolerate a rapist in the White House. And Bill Clinton is not denying Juanita Broaddrick's charges. He won't even acknowledge them. He sends his lawyers out to make parsed denials. He's betting that Americans have so lost their moral bearings that they won't demand accountability.

If feminists and the religious right can't get together on this one, they will never agree on anything again. If this doesn't bridge the gender gap, it's unbridgeable. If Clinton gets away with this one, add another felony to the list of offenses -- perjury, abuse of power and now rape -- that have been effectively decriminalized by Clinton's blind partisan supporters.

There is no middle ground on this one. If you believe Juanita Broaddrick, then you have to act to remove Clinton. Rape cannot be tolerated. We cannot be apathetic about sexual predators in high office.

On the other hand, for those true believers who continue to stand by their man, why are you not demanding that Clinton explain himself, tell where he was at the time of the alleged attack, present his alibis, clear the air?

When was the last time you heard of a man accused of rape issuing a "no comment"? Put yourself in that position: If you were unjustly accused of such a heinous crime, how would you react? Would you casually dismiss questions when the entire country is talking about it? Does that sound logical?

Remember how Clinton reacted so angrily and publicly about the far less serious charge of adultery with Monica Lewinsky.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky," he exhorted emphatically. Of course, it was a lie. But he behaved in a reasonable way for a man pretending to be falsely accused. Let's at least demand to see another show, another lie. We deserve that much.

Or maybe we don't. Maybe America is getting just what it deserves in Bill Clinton. Maybe he's our curse, our judgment, for not being able to determine the difference between right and wrong.

Bill Clinton has virtually announced to the world that even a turd is a "badge of honor."

The man is totally out of touch.

Clinton said he was proud of his successful fight against impeachment

Er, not entirely successful. Yes, he managed to avoid being kicked out of office, but he is still impeached and always will be!

I confess that this headline made me laugh out loud - it's bizarre - like being proud to have cheated through life, conned the masses, gotten away with rape. ("Pride of life, pride of the eyes, lust of the flesh"...proud?)

What happened to the "penitent Bill" who appeared on the televised, staged show with leaders of the church?

"I didn't quit, I never thought of resigning and I stood up to it and beat it back," he said.

Always and forever the pervert...

Your impeachment was the Founders' hands reaching from the grave. They foresaw a time when and if the state legislatures might make a big mistake and put a piece of crap in the White House. I remember your words when acquitted by the cowards in the Senate who ignored constitutional directive to put you on trial. "I beat the odds," twanged the trailer-trash punk.

Badge of honor, huh? In what fantasy land is it honorable to send your own staff members, cabinet members, even your own wronged wife, out to face the cameras, to make fools of themselves repeating your lies for you, while you sit quietly knowing full well the extent of your guilt?

Honorable? Or the most reprehensible man who ever managed to sleaze, scam and Daley his way into the White House?

Notice the fiction that Monica was the only one, too, as if it was an aberration all the way around.

I distinctly recall the tote board listed about 10 bimbos in the WH who had relations with that man, Bill Clinton. That's not counting the rebuffs he received, like Kathleen Willey.

I see Hewitt's been doing his coaching again. I'm positive this:

Profile of a Sociopath

A number of mind-manipulating cult leaders may exhibit many of the behavioral characteristics of a sociopath--an outstanding ability to charm and seduce followers. Since they appear apparently normal, they are not easily recognizable as deviant or disturbed. Although only a trained professional can make a diagnosis, it is important to be able to recognize the personality type in order to avoid further abuse. These traits also apply to a one-on-one cultic relationship.

	Glibness/Superficial Charm Language can be used without effort by them to confuse and convince their audience. Captivating storytellers that exude self-confidence, they can spin a web that intrigues others. Since they are persuasive, they have the capacity to destroy their critics verbally or emotionally.
	Manipulative and Conning They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They dominate and humiliate their victims.
	Grandiose Sense of Self Feels entitled to certain things as "their right." Craves adulation and attendance. Must be the center of attention with their own fantasies as the "spokesman for God," "enlightened," "leader of humankind," etc. Creates an us-versus-them mentality
	Pathological Lying Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and able to pass lie detector tests.
	Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
	Shallow Emotions When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion, it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.
	Incapacity for Love While they talk about "God's love" they are unable to give or receive it. Since they do not believe in the genuineness of their followers' love, they are very harsh in testing it from their devotees and expect them to feel guilt for their failings. Expects unconditional surrender.
	Need for Stimulation Living on the edge, yet testing the beliefs of their followers with bizarre rules, punishments and behaviors. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal.
	Callousness/Lack of Empathy Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them. Their skills are used to exploit, abuse and exert power. Since the follower cannot believe their leader would callously hurt them, they rationalize the behavior as necessary for their (or the group's) own "good" and deny the abuse. When devotees become aware of the exploitation it feels like a "spiritual rape" to them.
	Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others. The followers only see them as near perfect.
	Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.
	Irresponsibility/Unreliability Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blame their followers or others outside their group. Blame reinforces passivity and obedience and produces guilt, shame, terror and conformity in the followers.
	Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity Totalist leaders frequently practice promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts. This is usually kept hidden from all but the inner circle. Stringent sexual control of their followers, such as forced breakups and divorces, removal of children from parents, rules for dating, etc.
	Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future. Many groups claim as their goal world-domination or other utopian promises. Great contrast between the leader's opulent lifestyle and the followers' impoverishment. Support by gifts and donations from the followers who are pressured to give through fear and guilt. Highly sensitive to their own pain and health.
	Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility Changes their image and that of the group as needed to avoid prosecution and to increase income and to recruit a range of members. Is able to adapt or relocate as needed to preserve the group. Can resurface later with a new name, a new front group and a new twist on the scam.

All the President's victims III: More on Bill Clinton's long and growing history of sexual violence against women

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Two weeks ago, Capitol Hill Blue first published an account of more than a dozen women who have reported being either assaulted or raped by Bill Clinton over the last 30 years. Since that story was first published, Juanita Broaddrick, one of the women mentioned in this story, has gone public with an interview and other victims have given us permission to use their names. The updated story appears below)

Juanita Broaddrick's terrifying story of a violent rape by Bill Clinton is only one of more than dozen cases of sexual assualt by the President that go back 30 years.

Capitol Hill Blue has confirmed that the charge is but one of many allegations of sexual assault by the President.

Candidate Clinton groping a willing flight attendant on his campaign plane in 1992. Another attendant said he made unwanted advances to her.

A continuing investigation into the President's questionable sexual history reveal incidents that go back as far as Clinton's college days, with more than a dozen women claiming his sexual appetites leave little room for the word ''no.''

Juanita Broaddrick, an Arkansas woman who worked on Bill Clinton's campaign when he was attorney general, told NBC's Lisa Meyers two weeks ago she was raped by Clinton. NBC, shelved the interview, but finally aired it Wednesday night. The White House also threatened Fox News after it reported the story. Broaddrick finally took her story to The Wall Street Journal, which published her account of the brutal rape at the hands of the future President.

But Broaddrick's story is only one account of many sexual assaults by Clinton. Among the other incidents:

A 1969 charge by a Eileen Wellstone, 19-year-old English woman who said Clinton assaulted her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford University campus where the future President was a student. A retired State Department employee, who asked not to be identified, confirmed this week that he spoke with the family of the girl and filed a report with his superiors. Clinton admitted having sex with the girl, but claimed it was consensual. The victim's family declined to pursue the case;
In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton, who was a law student at the college. No charges were filed, but retired campus policemen contacted by Capitol Hill Blue confirmed the incident. The woman, tracked down by Capitol Hill Blue last week, confirmed the incident, but declined to discuss it further;
In 1974, a female student at the University of Arkansas complained that then-law professor Bill Clinton tried to prevent her from leaving his office during a conference. She said he groped her and forced his hand inside her blouse. Clinton claimed the student ''came on'' to him and she left the school shortly after the incident. Reached at her home in Texas last week, the former student confirmed the incident, but declined to go public with her account. Several former students at the University have confirmed the incident in confidential interviews and said there were other reports of Clinton attempting to force himself on female students;
Broaddrick, a volunteer in Clinton's gubernatorial campaign, said he raped her in 1978. Mrs. Broaddrick required treatment for a bruised and torn lip, which she said she suffered when Clinton bit her during the rape;
From 1978-1980, during Clinton's first term as governor of Arkansas, state troopers assigned to protect the governor reported seven complaints from women who said Clinton forced, or attempted to force, himself on them sexually. One retired state trooper said in an interview that the common joke among those assigned to protect Clinton was "who's next?";
Carolyn Moffet, a legal secretary in Little Rock in 1979, said she met then-governor Clinton at a political fundraiser and shortly thereafter received an invitation to meet the governor in his hotel room. "I was escorted there by a state trooper. When I went in, he was sitting on a couch, wearing only an undershirt. He pointed at his penis and told me to suck it. I told him I didn't even do that for my boyfriend and he got mad, grabbed my head and shoved it into his lap. I pulled away from him and ran out of the room."
Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have sex with him shortly after she won her state crown. Last year, Ward, who is now married with the last name of Gracen (from her first marriage), told an interviewer she did have sex with Clinton but said it was consensual. Close friends of Ward, however, say she still maintains privately that Clinton forced himself on her.
Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual harassment case against Clinton after an encounter in a Little Rock hotel room where the then-governor exposed himself and demanded oral sex. Clinton settled the case with Jones recently with a cash payment.
Sandra Allen James, a former Washington, DC, political fundraiser says Presidential candidate-to-be Clinton invited her to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation's capital in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress. She says she screamed loud enough for the Arkansas State Trooper stationed outside the hotel suite to bang on the door and ask if everything was all right, at which point Clinton released her and she fled the room. When she reported the incident to her boss, he advised her to keep her mouth shut if she wanted to keep working. Miss James has since married and left Washington. Reached at her home last week, the former Miss James said she later learned that other women suffered the same fate at Clinton's hands when he was in Washington during his Presidential run.
Christy Zercher, a flight attendant on Clinton's leased campaign plane in 1992, says Presidential candidate Clinton exposed himself to her, grabbed her breasts and made explicit remarks about oral sex. A video shot on board the plane by ABC News shows an obviously inebriated Clinton with his hand between another young flight attendant's legs. Zercher said later in an interview that White House attorney Bruce Lindsey tried to pressure her into not going public about the assault.
Kathleen Willey, a White House volunteer, reported that Clinton grabbed her, fondled her breast and pressed her hand against his genitals during an Oval Office meeting in November, 1993. Willey, who told her story in a 60 Minutes interview, became a target of a White House-directed smear campaign after she went public.

In an interview with Capitol Hill Blue, the retired State Department employee said he believed the story Miss Wellstone, the young English woman who said Clinton raped her in 1969.

''There was no doubt in my mind that this young woman had suffered severe emotional trauma,'' he said. ''But we were under tremendous pressure to avoid the embarrassment of having a Rhodes Scholar charged with rape. I filed a report with my superiors and that was the last I heard of it.''

Miss Wellstone, who is now married and lives near London, confirmed the incident when contacted this week, but refused to discuss the matter further. She said she would not go public with further details of the attack.

In his book, Unlimited Access, former FBI agent Gary Aldrich reported that Clinton left Oxford University for a "European Tour" in 1969 and was told by University officials that he was no longer welcome there. Aldrich said Clinton's academic record at Oxford was lackluster. Clinton later accepted a scholarship for Yale Law School and did not complete his studies at Oxford.

The State Department official who investigated the incident said Clinton's interests appeared to be drinking, drugs and sex, not studies.

"I came away from the incident with the clear impression that this was a young man who was there to party, not study," he said.

Oxford officials, contacted last week, refused comment. The State Department also refused to comment on the incident.

Capitol Hill Blue also spoke with the former Miss James, the Washington fundraiser who confirmed the encounter with Clinton at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, but first said she would not appear publicly because anyone who does so is destroyed by the Clinton White House.

''My husband and children deserve better than that,'' she said when first contacted two weeks ago. After reading the Broaddrick story Friday, however, she called back and gave permission to use her maiden name, but said she had no intention of pursuing the matter.

"I wasn't raped, but I was trapped in a hotel room for a brief moment by a boorish man," she said. "I got away. He tried calling me several times after that, but I didn't take his phone calls. Then he stopped. I guess he moved on."

The former Miss Moffet, the legal secretary who says Clinton tried to force her into oral sex in 1979, has since married and left the state. She says that when she told her boyfriend, who was a lawyer and supporter of Clinton, about the incident, he told her to keep her mouth shut.

"He said that people who crossed the governor usually regretted it and that if I knew what was good for me I'd forget that it ever happened," she said. "I haven't forgotten it. You don't forget crude men like that."

The other encounters were confirmed with more than 30 interviews with retired Arkansas state employees, former state troopers and former Yale and University of Arkansas students. Like others, they refused to go public because of fears of retaliation from the Clinton White House.

Likewise, the mainstream media has shied away from the Broaddrick story. Initially, only The Drudge Report and other Internet news sites have actively pursued it.

The White House did not return calls for comment. White House attorney David Kendall has issued a public denial of the Broaddrick rape.
